Got to love that 2ww...2 weeks from the start of AF to find out when you're ovulating, 2 weeks to find out whether or not it took, and then another 2 weeks until you get to see your little sea monkey.  Oh well....we're head long into the longest wait there is...9 months.  : )  2 weeks seems like nothing in comparison.

Good morning ladies.
I cracked today and poas since my temp was down 98.04 from 98.34 yesterday.  BFN!  I have to admit, each time I see that BFN I still feel like someone knocked the wind out of me:(  But I had to pick myself up right away since I didn't want to spend the day dwelling on the negative!  Not to mention I have a ton of errands and laundry waiting for me=P

I used the $ store brand, so I'm hoping it's still too early to pick up anything.  I've had a ton of wet-glue like CM the past couple of days, which I never get in my previous cycles.... wondering if this is from clomid if I really have a true BFN in my cards this cycle??

Still no sign of AF, who should come knocking on my door any day.  Beta on Tues! Let's see who comes first.

Hi Ladies

So I went in for my beta this AM and god has answered my prayer!! ****BFP**** I am so happy but yet so afraid the good news will be taken away from me once again! I'm trying to stay strong and I have faith in god that this time we will have a sticky little monkey(s). My beta was 116. Is that a good #? I go back on Wed for my 2nd beta and I will continue to pray for doubling beta #s! I also asked the nurse to have them check my progesterone level on wed just for insurance. I wish everyone one of you SSBD and in due time you will be joining the BFP club!!!

@ Esmie: How many dpo or dpiui are you?? I'm 14dpo today so i think it may have just been too early for you. I took a HPT at 10dpo and got a BFN and really thought it was over for me but i was so wrong!! Stay positive and god will soon answer your prayer as well. My temps continued to fluctuate between 98.2 - 98.4 and this AM it was at 98.1. My normal temps w/o any meds are usually in the low 97s so it was different for me this cycle cus at 5dpo my temps remained in the low 98s which i thought was the trigger shot but that's been long gone from my system by now.

I'm 12dpo today, so there's still a possibility that it was too early to test (at least I'm hoping).

Thank you so much!! This forum has been such a great help in guiding me thru this tought time of TTC. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more BFP on here. All i want is a healthy 9 months w/ no complications/bleeding... I'll be thankful to have even one sticky one but if god feels i deserve more then one i will be more then happy to take what i can get.

I think it may have just been too early or you dont have any hcg for the hpt to pick up yet. Stay positive and keep us updated.

Congratulations!!!!!!! Very happy for you. Yeah #3!!! I hope you have a healty and happy 9 months. Your number seems a little high, you may have more then just one hanging out in there. ;) I think this cycle is a bust for me, BFN this morning. Will test tomorrow and if still BFN, I'm not going to go for the beta. Doesn't make sense for me to burn sick leave and sit in traffic for 2 hours. Hope your numbers double and your monkey(s) and super sticky!!!! Seeing all the BFP's this month give me hope that one day my prayers too will be answered. Again Congratulations!!!!!

Thanks so much!! Words cannot express how happy i am but at the same time i dont wanna get too excited... as it's still very early. I forgot to add my progesterone level was 33. Nurse said that was an excellent # so I hope and pray I continue to have brilliant results on Wed! Hope we have a perfect sticky little monkey. SSBD to all.

@ Mindy: Totally missed your comments but thank you very much!! I am just grateful that my first beta was a 3 digit beta. My beta last year was a 29 only and so i feel very blessed if this is considered a high beta for 14dpo.

@ Waiting: Thanks! I keep hearing on this site that ppl w/ low levels usually tend to have boys. As long as my # continues to double and my progesterone stays consistent then that's all that matters. Just hoping and praying for one little sticky monkey but I'll be happy with however many god blesses me with. I got my BFP beta at 14dpo. When i took the hpt at 10dpo it was bfn so i didn't test anymore at home cus i was too afraid to see only 1 line.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their support this cycle. Still BFN on hpt this morning, so I didn't even go in for the beta. Spoke with my nurse this morning and the DR wants to see me for a follow up to discuss my cycles and further options. That appt is on the 19th before I go on vacation. Kind of hoping he will recommend going straight to IVF since it's covered by my insurance, but not sure if I have to do all 3 cycles of IUI before I can switch. But who knows, maybe we will make a miracle on our vacation like Waitingformysunshine.

Congratulations to all the BFP's out there this month.

Sorry to hear about ur results:( I can understand your feelings of going straight to IVF as the success rates are higher. That's awesome ur insurance covers it! If i were you I would probably bug my doctor to skip me straight to IVF=P

I more day! Ah the agony. My temp is back up today to 98.34, but decided not to poas anymore and just wait it out until tomorrow. Trying to keep hope alive, but also trying not to get my hopes up too high.

Cautious optimism...it's hard to not get excited right off, but with numbers that strong at 14dpo, I'd say you've got a sticker. Looking forward to hearing your numbers doubled on Wednesday!

Even if you have to wait it out a bit longer, you have hope that there is an even more successful option that you can try in the end.

@ Trytryagain: Thanks!! It's very hard. For some reason I cannot seem to get onto that betabase.info site so I can get a feel of the beta #s and just kinda compare but I'll just wait til I go in tomorrow AM. I sure hope I got myself a little sticky one!

@ Trusting: Thank you so much!! All that funky weird symptons I was asking you ladies about during my 2ww were truly my miracle symptons.. things I have never ever felt or had in my previous iui/ivf cycles w/ my last partner 6-7 years ago. We had 3 mature follies the day of trigger and dr did stress over and over about the risk of multiples but we decided not to back down and move forward w/ the cycle b/c we had to pickup a secondary ins plan to cover infertility treatments since our ins at work doesn't cover that stuff. It'll be a true blessing whether its one, two or three lil sticky ones.. so long as their healthy.

Thanks ladies for the goodluck wishes.... here I am waiting for my results. Always waiting right!=P Still no sign AF. I didn't BBT today bc I didn't sleep good due to the anxiety of testing this morning.

For those ladies who took clomid cycles w/trigger, did AF show up exactly after 14 days? My last cycle, I was spotting at 13DPO and AF was full blown the day after. Hoping AF is not too delayed if this cycle is a bust!

arrggh...I'm on pins and needles for you!!

Yes...each time I took Clomid....my cycle ended EXACTLY @ 14dpo if not that AM, during the day AF would show up! I only triggered once and that cycle also ended exactly 14 dpo. Everyone is different...but that has been my experience.

Had my appt. with RE today. Still have the cyst, but is has decreased in size to 33.1 mm (from 55). Nevertheless, no treatment this month. RE thinks cyst will resolve naturally, so no BC needed (thank God-there is just something wrong with giving that to someone TTC!). Given the options of a natural cycle, injectibles, or IVF, we decided and he suggested we pursue a natural cycle with IUI next month, so long as my lining rebounds and is of normal thickness. RE thinks it is worth a shot anyway. If my lining remains thin, on to injectibles. In the meantime, DH is getting hormone check to see what his prolactin levels are. Not sure why he didn't do this a long time ago, but it is getting done now, regardless. So, another flipping month of doing nothing. Kind of expected this, but it just stinks. We just want a chance to TRY SOMETHING! Ugh, so frustrating. But, onward we shall go.

Crossing my fingers for the rest of you meanwhile. Keep making my day by sharing those BFPs and strong beta #s!!!

Update: Got my BFN just time for dinner and AF is taking her sweet time! I'm lying if I said I was okay. Of course my happy bubble has been popped:( Even the hubby asked "why didn't work this time?" All I could say is IDK!!!!! But judging that AF is late, could only mean I ovulated later than expected. I let myself have my pity-party for 5 minutes and told the dh that I would contact my RE tomorrow. I'm going to ask if there is anything we could do differently for the 3rd round. Hopefully 3rd time will be the charm:)

Trusting77: I'm glad you got some answers today and that your cyst is decreasing in size. My cyst in a previous cycle also resolved itself naturally and I'm sure yours will also. So I can understand the feeling of wanting to have a chance to try something. It seems as if timing and patience are a common theme we all share. I truly believe God has a plan for all of us and he will answer all our prayers soon!

Off to the next cycle ladies as I think I am the last out of our tww group for this round!

Sorry to hear you got a bfn... dont give up without a fight! You will get that bfp one day. Maybe you can ask your RE to see if he/she can change your next cycle. Are you doing just clomid/iui? Maybe your like me and need something stronger... i did not respond to clomid or femara at all so we moved on to relations w/ injectables.

I went in this AM for 2nd beta... hoping and praying i have brilliant news just like i did on sunday. Nurse will be calling sometime this afternoon. SSBD to all.

So bummed about the news! Do not give up hope! Last month (and every month before that) I was just devastated that the IUI didn't work....everything felt like perfect timing. I know it is so much harder when DH asks...mine did too...and then you have no answers! Know that you have lots of support here and we are all pulling for you! One day soon you will have that well deserved BFP!!

Trusting: Good news on the cyst....I feel the same way about BC when you are ttc! Keep visualizing it getting smaller and smaller!! It will! Ask about getting extra estrogen to help thicken your lining. That is the protocol w/my RE. They check it @ 3 days and then again @ 7 or 8 and if it isn't getting thicker that prescibe the extra estrogen to help along! Maybe that is just what you need...regardless...you need that lining to get a little thicker, so maybe w/o the Clomid this time...your natural cycle with be "the one"!

Thanks for the encouragement. I did mention estrogen, but he believes giving estrogen is like giving birth control. Said it could turn off my FSH which is creating follicles. He understands some REs include this in their treatment protocol, but he doesn't agree with it apparently. Who knows what is correct. I'm hoping that simply being off clomid, everything will work itself out. He did mention using viagra if needed. Strange, but whatever works.

Hi Ladies-

my beta today is 331. It was 116 on sun so nurse said it more then doubled. No more checking beta #s. I have to schedule my first ob u/s and a pre-natal appt with the fertility clinic the week of august 23rd which i should be 6 weeks based on my LMP and if I'm right and i O'd on 7/25 then i'll be 6wks come aug 22nd. I'm just waiting to hear back what day they have available for me and I will let you guys know. Hope and pray i have a little sticky bean by that week and maybe we'll get to see that tiny thing on the screen.

I am new to this board but enjoyed reading all of your posts and advice. All of you are a true inspiration! I did femara for 5 days on cd3-7. I have been doing OPKs for 6 months but this is the first time with any drug. It is amazing how much more intense Oing is with a drug :) I went for my IUI today and now I have to do the 2ww thing. I am super impatient!! Dh had 30mil count and I Oed last night and this AM. I hope this works!!! They are going to test my progest next week. What # should I be hoping for ??

Welcome:) Did you also do trigger with your IUI? I believe with medicated cycles, they want to see your progesterone level at 15 or above, 10 with natural cycles. Goodluck and try to take the 2ww easy. I know how long it can feel, so hope you have something to keep yourself busy!

Update:
AF finally showed up and I have my baseline U/S tomorrow. Hope all goes well and I am able to start round 3:) My RE didn't recommend to do anything new, but will do a thorough check up tomorrow.... not sure what she will be looking for, but the hubby will come along for support:)

Thanks for the info! I will let you know what the outcome is next week. No... No injectables at all. I wonder after reading a lot ... If I should have asked for injectables or at least asked her :( oh well... Maybe next time if this one doesn't stick :)
I'm starting a new job next week so hopefully that will help to keep my mind off of it for a week :)

My u/s went well:) No cysts and I am ok to start clomid in a couple of days. My RE refused to increase my meds this round for fear of multiples. I produced 3 mature follies last month and she said that already is too risky.... is it just me or this sounds too conservative? I mean I'm going on my 3rd round. She said she'll consider going more aggressive on the meds down the line, but not this round.

What has your experience been with how many mature follies your doctor feels comfortable with?

Glad to hear that your u/s went well :) i agree with you about REs being too conservative sometimes. I think that most of us are in the mindset of "the more the merrier" :) I would be ok with multiples at this point. We have to trust that they know what they are doing. I'm worried that since I haven't done anything other than femara... That I'll have to do this a few more times :) I haven't had experience with the # of follies yet since I haven't had the egg check... Other than knowing that my egg reserve is ok. I will let you know as soon as I know :)

Hi........I'm actually posting as a Grandma not Mom.......been reading all the posts and after watching what my daughter has gone thru in the last year, I have so much respect for the strength and determination you ladies have. My daughter has been TTC for 1 1/2 years but found out at the beginning of this year that her hubby has "0" sperm. He has sarcoidosis and a tumor on his pituitary which has totally wreaked havoc on his hormones so with little to no testosterone he was put on a testosterone supplement that made him sterile unfortunately. So they started IUI with d/s and due to irregular periods they used clomid and a trigger shot. They did that for 3 times.....no luck and switched to injectables in June. She had this months IUI done on July 26th (feast day for Saint Anne, the patron Saint of fertility! She found that out after and figured every little bit helps!) She didn't do any hpt and waited till this past Monday for her results..........BFP!!!!!!!! She was.......we all were........ecstatic! Her hcg was 201............then on Wednesday, 2 days later it was 547! Sounds like good strong numbers and while I know you can't put total stock in them as far as multiples......the numbers have us wondering! She had another blood test this morning so we're anxious to hear the numbers. For the first two she doubled every 33 hours. Can't wait until the 23rd she gets her first u/s! As you can see.......i'm very excited for her!!! Oh and I forgot to mention for her iui she had 6 follicles......on Friday the 23rd they were 11, 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17. She triggered Saturday evening and had the IUI Monday morning the 26th. She did have some leftover follicles from the last cycle so it got very confusing as to whether some of the smaller ones were old ones shrinking or new ones growing. Congrats to those with BFP's and I pray for BFP's for all those that didn't get their wish yet. Thanks so much and would love to hear opinions on the hcg numbers!

Congrats Grandma! I can't help with the hcg #s b/c I've never been pregnant in order to relate. However, doubling every 33 hours sounds incredible! Hopefully she is pregnant with as many she can handle and that can grow safely. Blessings to you.

All- I went in today for CD12 scan. Showed 2 mature follies, however my endo lining measured at 5mm. I was given Estradiol to take for 3 days. My IUI is scheduled for this Wednesday. Will my lining be thick enough by then. My RE told me they like to see it between 6-8mm. I guess I'm not too far away. Should I be concerned at all about this? My previous cycles have been normal, so I'm a little bit surprised this is the case. I have read clomid can cause the lining to be thin..... trying not to stress too much about this=/

I had the same problem you did, but my doc disagreed with giving Estrodiol in order to thicken it. We had to cancel the IUI b/c I likely would have miscarried if I did conceive. He said that giving estrogen is like giving birth control b/c it can destroy the follicles that have developed since it "turns off" projesterone I believe. I had a thin lining both times and could no longer take clomid. I hope this isn't the situation for you, or that taking Estrodiol actually improves the situation for you. I know that other women told me about being proscribed estrogen to thicken the lining, so maybe it is just my RE being too conservative. I will pray you have a good reaction to the estrodiol and can proceed with the IUI. SSBD to you!!

Thanks for sharing your experience with Estradiol. I was able to do my IUI today since I had 2 mature follies:) My RE gave the green light and said we'll see how this cycle goes and if needed she will switch me to dif meds later on. Hopefully this is it for me..... hoping and praying. How are things going for you?

Glad to hear you had two good follies! Two is better than one. I'll be interested to hear what other meds your RE may recommend; but hopefully you won't need any others b/c this one will work!

As for me, I'm still waiting for the cyst to dissolve. I won't have any news until next month. The waiting really stinks, but in a way, it is nice to get a break from it all.

So, just taking inventory here. Where's everyone at in their TTC journey? I actually have a sheet of paper by my computer that lists everyone's screen names and treatment plans so that I can be sure to keep you all straight and remember to pray for you. I know Yang, Waiting, Trytry, and CB3228's daughter all got their BBP (yippee!) but I'm not sure about rest of you. Fill me in if you'd like. Also, if you have a specific thing you'd like prayer for, go ahead and add that. Praying for you all while I wait is truly a help to me, as I see answers to those prayers in all of you. If you'd rather not do this last part, that's okay too! I don't want to scare anyone away.
