I had my 2nd IUI on 12/4 so I am a little ahead of you in the wait. We are unexplained and doing follistim.  2 years ago we got pregnant on our first cycle of follistim and timed intercourse..this time I am hopin 2 does the trick! The wait is getting harder each day..Good luck tomorrow!

The wait is so LONG...it becomes all you think about it. Ughhh, definatly not looking forward to that. One thing i DID learn last month, is to NOT test early. So be strong and try to wait for your day :) I felt sick all day at work today from that trigger shot last night....i hate that trigger shot, it gives you the worst symptoms!
I will keep u gals in all of my prayers, i think we are going to get Christmas babies :)

Hi- I had my first ever IUI yesterday (Tuesday) and just waiting around now too! My hubby has very low motility, lazy sperms! I'm all clear and just ready to be a Mommy!

Best to you and you are ALL in my prayers! Wouldn't it be awesome to be pregnant the week of Christmas!

I just got home from my IUI...my cervix is always hiding behind my pubic bone so they can never find it...NOT a pleasant experience !
I was soooo exited to hear that my husband had a much better sperm count than last time ! Last time it was 4.6 million, then 3.5 after washed. This time he had 26 million lil guys..so that was really cool. I have such a good feeling this month.

misslollipop- How did our scan go? You get the go ahead for your trigger on Monday?

Can you please tell me how many follicles you guys had?? I had my 2nd ultrasound on Wed I had one folicle the size was 13...my dr wants me to come in Sat for 3rd ultrasound in hope the size has increased to 19! Then I will get the hcg shot and IUI to follow. I wonder if any sucess stories with just 1 follie???

Nikkinikki- I had 3 on left and 2 on right. But only two at mature size. 20 and 18
the rest were 12 and two 10's. Last month i had 5 follies but just one of them were mature enough. Im sure there are loads of success stories with one.It only takes ONE.
Once they bumped my FSH injections up to 150 units, they grew very quickly ...bloodwork flew from a 150-450 so they decreased my units back to 75.
I do a booster trigger on December 15th and test day after christmas

Hello everyone! Glad to have so many people to wait with! Today I am 7 days past IUI and feeling a little crampy and moody..nervous af is around the corner....tomorrow we are off to NYC for the christmas festivities so hopefully that will occupy my mind!

I had 5 follies but 2 that looked best..16 and 18 ..2 days before trigger..3 more were smaller..last IUI I had the same..sperm looked good both times...who knows? I was on 225 of follistim and then dropped to 150..It only takes 1!!!

Great Idea for a Group!!!! I just did my transfer on Dec 4th. and keep hoping that there's more of me out there. lol. There's not alot of people that I know personally who are going through the same thing that I am so its nice to be able to come online and correspond with women who can relate.

I am 7dpiui today - bbs are still EXTREMELY tender - can't sleep at night because I can't get comfortable.  During my days of ultrasounds and blood work - I had many follicles 4 of them were very mature measuring 21 on the right and 3 on the left measuring 19,18,16 - my estradiol levels went from 120, 280, 300something, 654, 1380,1500 - so he was very satisfied with my progress - I started off on day 4 of my cycle using 150iu of bravelle for 6 days - then I ran out of that so he gave me follistim 150iu for 4 days ovidril trigger on 12/3 and IUI on 12/4 - on 12/3 when I had bw and u/s done I was already starting to ovulate on my own - my lh went from 6 on 12/3 to 16 on 12/4 - but he still wanted me to use the ovidril to make sure all 4 mature eggs were released - now we patiently wait - 1 more week to go - hopefully it goes fast.

Hello Everyone! I'm in my 2ww, 5dpiui. This is our first treatment for anything.  We are unexplained infertility as well.  I took clomid 50 for days 3-7 and went in for bw on day 10 and everything was looking good with 2 follies sized 11mm, 10mm then on day 12 they were 18, 19.  On day 13 (saturday) they were 21 and 22.  They then gave me an hCG shot to seriously encourage ovulation. Then on sunday, day 14 we went in for our IUI.  My husbands counts were lower than they would have liked - post-wash they were 3.3 million.  When they would normally like over 5 million, however she said she has been successful with in the 100's of thousands. So that made me feel better.
So, now we wait.  It's already been 5 days.  I can take a HPT as early as the 16th, but they have scheduled me to come back in on the 18th for bw confirmation.  AF to arrive on the 21st - or a very merry christmas to us! lol
Haven't really had any symptoms.  Just the normal stuff I feel each month.  A little crampy (more like strong bloating), white discharge, pain in boobs (every month).  So I don't feel any different - but these *could* all be signs of pregnancy, but when you get them every month, you start to think not...........
So, I'm just trying to wait patiently and keep myself busy by talking with others.

i took my trigger sunday and this week my bb's have not hurt from the trigger. they always do. maybe it did not work??? sometimes my symptons get very bad just before the trigger is all gone (8 or 9 days later). guess i'll wait a day or two.

Can I join the wait?  I am going to go in on Monday for my iui.  I had my ultrasound today and two 18's two 15's and a 14.  The rest were all smaller than that.  I am suppossed to give my ovidrel shot on Saturday.  My estrogen was 1091 today.  Hoping for a Christmas present as I am sure everybody here is.  Hopefully it happens.  Sending loads of positive thoughts everybodies way.

kramick- everything sounds like it went really great !
micahsmom- my husband had the same numbers for our first IUI last month. 4.6 then 3.6 after washed...we live really close to the fertility clinic so he did his business at home then brought up there(kept it close to my body to keep temp) BUT this time when we did it at the clinic he had 26 million...it made a huge difference. Not sure if ur hubby did his at the clinic or at home? does your husband smoke? i had begged my husband to quit smoking and told him the sperm count and he managed to quit and that helped ALOT for this month.

We live too far from the clinic to do it from home.  He is a smoker - but trying to get him to quit after 23 years of smoking is worse than pulling teeth.  She thinks the lower counts than his normal were because of the stress of doing it there.  They would have liked them over 5 mil.  I'm just happy there's more than one! lol
How long before the 26 million did he quit? That is FAST improvement!!!

All - glad to see that there are many women all over the world that are going through this and all have to have that dreadful 2ww!! Talking with a friend of mine who looks at her husband and gets preggers (3 kids in 4 years) just couldn't get her mind wrapped around how stressful this is waiting! So, again thanks to all of you and your support.  Hopefully this first cycle will do the trick, if not, at least I know a have a group of virtual friends for support!!

Right after my IUI last month is when he quit. It was 2 weeks before thanksgiving. Could have been the combonation of the short drive in cold weather and not smoking for a month. Or could both be coincidence.
It only takes ONE little guy. so i am not going to stress out about it ...i got upset the first month...its hard not to. But u gotta work with whatcha got :)

I know for a friend of mine it was just a matter of time/warmth that made the difference. So maybe it was that...... or both! I hope he has stuck with it!!

I'm getting a little excited now... starting to finally feel crampy.. haven't really had any changes at all over the last 5 days.  What is everyone else feeling like a few days after? What about those who have had a BFP? how did you feel a few days following and leading up to your BFP??

This is my second iui.  My husbands count was 155 mil last time with 96% motility which makes me feel horrible because that just solidifies that it is me who has the problem...ugh.  Anyways, do anything you can to keep your mind off of it.  I like to cross stich (it sounds stupid I know...I am 27 and I cross-stich)to keep my mind off of it.  But it works for me.

ALL:  It is great to have all you ladies to talk with and go through this together.  It makes this awful 2ww bearable.

One more question.  I know there is a risk of multiples with this follistim; however my estrogen was 1091.  Isn't that a little risky for multiples?  I am kind of worried since my uterus is smaller according to the HSG (T-shaped).  WHat was everyone elses estrogen levels?  I mean I will take multiples if that is what is in store for me but I am still worried.  Should I be?

mikahsmom- it wont hurt for him to try. I know how hard it is to quit, so i try not to be a nag about it. Because i remember my mom harassing me to quit and that annoyed me so much that it made me need a ciggarette even more.  I quit after reading how it effects my TTC. Then after my husband seeing me having to give myself shots and the tears in my eyes during IUI he felt awful his count was low which made him chose to quit or at least cut down as much as he could. So if anything----guilt trip him some, that usually works :) Last few days i have same symptoms as last month----very very very sore boobs. I feel so hungry in the morning that i dry heave until i eat something. I take another trigger on tuesday as a booster after IUI, not looking forward to that!

Ajs20- It shouldnt matter if its you or him, you are both in it together so try not to let that consume your mind. Its going to happen.
Cross-stiching doesnt sound stupid at all. Im 29 and love to knit. haha....Maybe ill make my soon to be a baby blanket :)
My bw lever was 150 then they doubled my injections from 75-150 then over night my bw shot up to 450 and my doctor told me to lower it back down to 75. so im not sure if thats risky or not. I am very uneducated in all of this...I do know that this is high risk for multiple births...but the way i look at it is, i have been trying for so long and im not getting any younger. Bring me on 2 or 3 right away because who knows how long it will take me a 2nd time ! I am happy with whatever the good lord gives me....as long as healthy and under 4 ! My mom jokes and calls my husband and i "BRIAN AND JEN PLUS 10" ! so NOT funny !!!

Hello future mothers,
We had our 2nd IUI on 12/09, I took Clomid CD3-CD7 this time! I'm going for Beta on 12/24 Christmas night!!:)
I don't have any hopes this time because I had before, for our 1st IUI!:(
First IUI with 2 big follicles and HCG shot one day before IUI and my ObGyn said that he expected 10 mil sperm after wash but my lovely DH had 6mil. Didn't succeed, my period was late for 8 days first time in my life. I have very regular cycles. I took progesterone suppositories 200mg, twice per day,so that was the reason why AF was late.
This time hubby had 10mil and Dr was very satisfied. I had 2 big follicles on right ovary. I'm again on progesterone but this time with lower dosage 100mg twice per day.

My hubby started to take Antioxidants, Zinc and tablets Speman - producer is Himalaya Drug company, India) ObGyn recommended this to him and we can see results from 6mil to 10mil.  

I'm and all of U are in God hands. I really believe that God will bless us with Christmas present sooner or latter.

I go in on 12/18 for my bloodwork - I am having a dilemma today - I decided to test using the early pregnancy tests from earlypregnancytest.com - I am 9 dpiui 10 days past ovidril shot and I have the faintest line - you can see the one line real good and the test line is there but very light - not sure if I should take it as a +ve or is it the ovidril still?  Please help I so don't wanna be disappointed

Everyone keeps saying that to me as well "Mike and Kate plus 8!" lol I feel the same as you, I could handle twins right about now.... feel like I need to make up for lost time! lol Once preggers with my son, we said we wanted to have three more all about 18mths apart - well, that didn't happen, but if it did, we would have three already.... so gotta make up for lost time! My one friend who did IUI with all four of hers said if you say it enough it will happen! lol cause it happened for her with her third, but had vanishing twin syndrome - but then had her last child as a whoops - she was NEVER supposed to get preggers on her own... so he's a miracle child!!
When do you get to go for your bw or take a HPT???

Sorry to hear that!!!  I would most definitely be talking to your doc about that.  There must be a reason why it's coming so early.... maybe a miss-matched drug combo for you... or a reaction to them... Not sure, as I"m not a doc, but coming early everytime must mean something.
Are  you going to continue trying again in dec? do you have an action plan or are you going to let this absorb first..

so I took another test this morning and there are 2 lines - still light but looks darker than yesterday - I called me dr - and they moved my date up to Wednesday instead of Friday

Nurse said ovidril is out of your system about 5-7 days I am 10dpiui today and 11 days past trigger - so she said more than likely its for real - I am so nervous

All:  I hope everybody finds themselves in relaxation and high hopes in this 2WW.  I just got my iui done today.  Me however?  I feel like crap.  I am bloated and am holding more water than a sinking boat.  It is worth it if it all works.  My husbands count was 41.6 mil and 98 percent motility and I possibly have three mature follicles with an estrogen count of around 1500 today.  They said everything looks good, now if the good lord will just make it all work.  Keeping my fingers crossed and sending high hopes in everyones direction.

ALL- Does anyone have really weird dreams since taking gonal-f and trigger? Maybe its just me...i have been having the most bizzarre dreams...very vivid. I wonder if it had something to do with all the shots. Also----i have been a MAJOR witch ! I actually threw a temper tantrum like a 5 year old last night...then after about an hour i felt so bad and cried and cried so guilty. I dont know how my husband puts up with me.
These last two days of work have been so aggrivating. EVERYTHING and EVERYONE is just irritating me...i feel like an evil witch ! Although it could just be my job. lol

Don't worry we go thru a lot, physically and emotionally, so its bound to have some effects. Just hang in there, your wait is going to end soon. My cycle is just starting...

Oh the moodiness and the crying!! That would be our hormones and the emotion/stress of all of this!  Dreams - not sure.  I've been having dreams every single night that I take a HPT and get a BFP... I'm not taking it as a sign, but it's frustrating that my mind is playing such games with me! And I'm pretty sure that it's just my mind and not the drugs, as I took the lowest of the low - drug wise....
But know, that in a few days you'll know!!! :)

Ok, question from the newbie.... you did IUI, so what did you take that you need a booster? Just curious to think of other options for the next time... that's if this one doesn't work..... three more sleeps! lol

after IUI my doctor has me take an additional trigger shot 5 days after the IUI as a booster. It is supposed to increase your chances..and create a better lineing.
Im usually confused on half the things i do. This is only my 2nd month for injectables...triggers, and IUI's.

It is 2dpiui and I feel like hell.  My last shot of follistim was almost a week ago.  I have been extremely dizzy and bloated and my ovaries still hurt.  If I let my bladder get full, then everything really starts to hurt.  I also could sleep all day.  Is anyone feeling this way?  I know it is just from the estrogen but I really thought it should be better by now.  I didn't realize the side effects were this bad.  Any suggestions?

i get all them symptoms except for the bloated one. i also complain every 5 minutes about my boobs hurting. it is like excrutiating. i wish i had some suggestions for you...but just wanted to let you know ur not alone in the symptoms.

Ooooh, ok, so you had injectibles... ok.  I was told that everything looked good, with the exception of the sperm counts... but she said she has seen MUCH lower numbers produce a healthy pregnancy... so I am still trying to hold out and think happy thoughts (even with a neg HPT today)....
I remember when I finally found out I was preggers was because my boobs hurt SOOOOO bad (around 8.5weeks) that I called telehealth (ontario's 1-800 for medical questions, etc...) and they asked if I was breastfeeding or preggers... lol yeah, smart girl!!! (total denial at the time!)  Anyhow, it's totally the hormones in your system messing with your chestal region. lol  They told me to put med-hot water on face clothes and rest them on my chest... talk about instant relief!! so that might help you out, so you don't make your hubby go crazy! lol

ajs20 - I was the same with all your symptoms, but they stopped about two days ago, with the exception of the bladder!! and I totally thought I was crazy for that one... but glad to know I'm not alone with that!!  Just know you will get through it and hopefully it will be worth it!

heeheee... ok, little giggle there! heehee... (cloths, not clothes.. )
You put the warm water on the cloths so they are soaked, then wring out the excess water, then rest them on your sore boobs. Kinda like a heat bottle, but less drastic heat.  Feels amazing!! And will help with the pain .

BTW, all.... I just called my clinic and they want me to come in for bloodwork on sunday, instead of friday... ARGH!! So instead of tomorrow... I'm back to three days! lol Ah well, just longer to put me out of my misery! lol

So I did another HPT today and it was neg too.... so I'm pretty darn sure this isn't my month - which I wasn't thinking it was going to be at the beginning of the week... you sorta just "know" (I always hated when people said that, but it's totally true!"  Anyhow, still go in for my bloodwork bright and early sunday at 7am and will wait for the phone call.  I really think my body said "nope, nah-uh, not this month, you're just toooo sick", as I've had nasal issues all month long.... great fun! Anyhow, onto a New Years O day... that should be fun, provided DH isn't too tired! lol

Hey, so my bloodwork came back today as negative, but at least I was ready for it from that neg HPT.  I guess I'll be getting a red wrapped gift for Christmas. lol Do you think I can return to sender???  See you when the next tww starts in the new year.

Since the clinic is closed over the holidays, we won't be able to do IUI this cycle, as day 14 would be the first day they are open, and they want to monitor.  So, we're on our own this month, but still taking the clomid... maybe it will work, but after 4 yrs I'm thinking not... But, then we will have the cycle at the end of Jan - to have a baby due on my bday! lol Keeping my head up - I know this is all part of His plan and in His time!

Yes sammy, I am going nuts over it. I am at my denial point. I am 9dpiui. I have had no implantation bleeding, nor any real symptoms. I do have itchy bbs and they are somewhat sore and sensative. I am exhausted but also very busy so that could be it.  One thing that strikes me as odd and forgive my forwardness, my bowel movements are now at night and irregular. I don't know if that is a good sign or not. I am praying everyday for that BFP. AF is scheduled for 12/30 so we shall see. I have a first response test I wanna take tomm cause it tells you 5 days before your period. I have AF like symptoms so of course I feel her lurking. I have been bloated the whole time though.

Hi! Well my 2ww is just starting and so far only getting light cramps...
I must try not to obsess over symptoms. I can't even do an hpt as I'm on small dose of hcg on a daily basis to maintain a potential pregnancy so that would probably mess up hpt results. I gotta wait till the 2ww is over and I go for my beta!
May this be a quick 2ww that ends with a bfp! What a lovely start to the new year!

Still have managed not to test and today is 12piui.  I have some symptoms but I am scared to test because then it goes from being hopeful to just being "it ain't gonna happen."  At least if I don't test, then I can still hold on to the fact that it might have worked.  I think I might test tomorrow or Monday morning.

So I got up at 530 am to pee and decided to test.  I thought the whole time it I was gonna go to bed, sad, once again.  I told my husband last night that I didn't think it worked this time and told him to gear up for another month of treatments.  The HCG line turned color before the control line turned pink!  I got my BFP!  Hopefully it sticks.  The only thing is now I am wide awake and I can't sleep!  I am too excited!  I will be going in to the doc this week.  I will let you all know how it goes...hang in there ladies and don't lose hope...it does work!

It varies with each individual......mine is usually two weeks exactly after my iui....considering I give myself the trigger shot 36 hours before the iui.  Yes a level of 25.6 progestrone is good.  It shows that you ovulated and your level is high enough to support a pregnancy but it does not have any determination on whether you will get a positive or not.  Good Luck....baby dust to you.

Thanks everyone for the congrats....I had my lab today and my hcg was 401 and my progesterone was 62.6 so I am pregnant!!!  I have my u/s in a week.  i just hope everything goes okay and that this one sticks!

okay so I am freaking out a little bit right now. I tested yesterday and it was a BFN so I went out with my mother in law and had 2 mixed drinks. I still do not have AF but am waiting. What if I am pg am I in trouble. I hope not I ate right after so I was not drunk, I guess I will just not drink untill AF arrives.

I wouldn't be concerned.  With my son, I didn't even know I was pregnant until 9weeks and I still went out and partied a lot back then and had  no clue I was pregnant (I know, how could I not know, but I was in denial as I was young and not with the dad at the time).  But everything turned out fine!  Even my sister in law still had wine once a day throughout her whole pregnancy - but that's because she was used to it with her other pregnancy when she lived in Scotland... I guess it's a European thing... and they don't all have Fetal Alcohol babies.  Just think that you are pregnant in the meantime... that's what I'm doing as soon as the O day happens - I consider myself pregnant and treat my body that way...

Thanks for the guidance. AF reared her ugly head so I guess I will do IUI #2 in a few weeks. This time I will not drink until AF shows but let's hope my IUI will be successful so no drinking at all would be better. Oh well round 2 here I came. 2010 will hopefully be lucky for all.

Well, if anyone is still kicking around watching this forum, then I thought I would let you know that I got a BFP on the 19th, 1st beta was 159, 2nd beta was 339 and my first ultrasound is on the 4th! Very excited but very nervous as I've been waiting sooooo long for this! (4+ yrs!)  
Keep the hope and dream alive and keep in touch with all your supports on here!! I believe that's what got me my BFP!!

Anyone from our TWW Buddies group still out there?  We're starting to try for our next and thought I would try to connect with any of those who were around the first time.  We had a beautiful baby boy at 39w by c-section at a hefty 9lbs 15oz! He's now 14mths and loving life!  We're in a time crunch now, as we wanted four before my DH turned 40... we've got 2yrs left! So we've start back to BD'ing.  I'd love to hear the success stories and progress reports on how everyone is doing!!
I'm currently at cd 11 so we should be switching to tww soon!
