Low Progesterone (12.5) and long cycles (35 days)

Low Progesterone (12.5) and long cycles (35 days)

Is there anyone who has long cycles that got a BFP? My progesterone blood test was 12.5 so I did ovulate but doc said number is very low. I could use some HOPE!

Hi,
Is your doc not putting you on progestorone suppliments?
Im with you with the long cycles though sometimes mine can be 29days sometimes it can be 65days i have no problem conceiving been pregnant now 4 times, but no live births so i just need a sticky bean. My doc has just put me on Clomid to help regulate my cycles i took 1 cycle last month and im having a break this month im now on CD18 n no signs of ovulation yet so who knows...
But i do know low progestorone can stop you from conceiving as this is what helps the baby grow ((if you conceived)) until the placenta takes over.

who said your progesterone is low? If it was taken after your ovulation cycle, that is not low. If it is over 10, that's good. Mine was only 7.2 this last time and my gyn wasn't concerned though my RE probably would be. I'm so confused.

I agree with Azwoman: a 12 is a good number in a non-medicated cycle. In a medicated cycle, they like to see a 15 or higher. I have no idea why your RE would say that a 12 is a very low number. Remember, the embryo is pretty much on its own for the first part of the luteal phase, so even if everything worked this month, your body really doesn't know whether or not it's pregnant until after implantation. So a "normal" progesterone number at 7 dpo doesn't mean you're not pregnant. Best of luck this month!
