My husband and I have been trying to conceive for amost a year now and my cycles have been very irregular, so to help us along we started to use ovulation tests. However, these never show me to be ovulating so I went to my GP for some blood tests. I have since had a day 2 and day 21 blood tests, both of which show my FSh, LH
etc to be normal but my progesterone to be low. They have referred me for fertility treatment as it seems I am not ovulating but can you explain why this might be happening. I am only 26, am a healthy weight and exercise regularly with a good diet, I can't understand what might cause this?
I have the same problem but do not know the reason why I am this way too. I guess we are special in some ways. I take progesteron to ovulate and it has increased the levels of my progesterone to 120 from 1.3. Although I am not pregnant yet. I know it will happen. You must be thinking as to why is this happening. Dont worry things will happen to us pretty soon. hang in there. and baby dust to you :)
crossed! Can only hope that they can give me some progesterone or something to help me ovulate but have got to wait until they see me at the fertility clinic which will prob be 4 mths yet...gutted :-(
Hi. I don't have quite the same experience, as I am ovulating, but my progesterone was low, causing my luteal phase to only be 9 days. My OB prescribed progesterone suppositories, which I take after O until AF. It has lengthened my luteal phase to 13-14 days, which is great news to me, so I'm just waiting for my little bean to stick ! :)
