Low Sperm Count??

I hope I make sense as I am posting this..... Just question about low sperm count in men.  It took my bf and I almost 14 yrs. to make our miricle baby (due next month).  When I met him he had mentioned that his count was low and I never really thought much about it because I didn't really plan on having any more kids after my two.  I mean the thought of becoming pregnant was nice , but didn't see it happening.  Well my question is how can I raise my chances of having another little bean?  I mean it took almost 14 yrs. with this one and no doctor was involved or medications, it just happend for us.  I really don't want to wait another 14 yrs. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to approach this??  Feed back would be appreciated very much!!!

My insurance doesn't cover fertility medicine. We spend $48 a month a Wal-mart for a month supply of Clomid for him.

It does sound like your baby is a true miracle! My DH's count is low because he has a varicocele. His testosterone levels were on the low side of normal which can also make his counts low. He had a physical and blood work done to find this out. Clomid is mainly used for women. Some doctors give Clomid to men too. I guess it doesn't always work. Well find out in a month in a half if it's working or not. It may be easier for you to get pregnant right after you have your baby because you'll be really fertile. Congrats on the baby and I hope you two will be able to conceive another miracle baby.

DH also has low sperm count.  He is on Clomid and Arimidex - with some positive results.  Diet and Accupuncture can also help, as well as staying away from Alcohol and caffeine.  I agree with Bree08, he should definitely see a Uroligust.

Hmm.... Clomid.  Thought that was just for woman, shows how much I know.  That is very informative I did not know men could take that.  I was talking to a woman at my ob's office and I was telling her about my little miricle and she had told me that there is some type of test that men can take kinda like an ovulation kit for men??  Have you heard of this??  Not sure why my bf has low sperm count.  He was tested by his uncle that is a chemist at our local hospital, and all that was free for him 20 yrs ago.  Never really asked and I don't even think he knows.  We just feel that this miricle with our baby coming soon is a blessing to us.  I just had thoughts run through my head about this baby being alone growing up and I started thinking about maybe having another in a year or so.  My other two are 20 and 16 so I know they have there own lives to lead sooner or later.

Hi my DH has a low count also. We have been TTC for a few years now. He's currently taking Clomid. We wont know if it's working till the end of August. Does he know why he has a low sperm count? I would have him see a Urologist. Good Luck :)
