Lupron and IVF

  Anyone have poor quality embryos with Lupron therapy in IVF, and switch to a different medication regimine and was successful? If so, what did you use...and did it change number of eggs and quality of eggs?

I used 10IU lupron 25 follistim. Had 15 eggs retrieved, 9 fertilized and had 3 blasts at the end 2 were implanted, the third was not good enough to freeze. My son is 19 months old now.

I had grade C embryos as a result of the long lupron protocol. My RE thinks that it was not a good protocol for me and my Estrogen levels were all over the map. my E2 started high and I was a quick responder with too many follicles, dropped the stims dose but it still went up. they were worried and tweaked the protocol and ended up with a drop in estrogen and had to trigger me right away.
Had a single embryo transfer (by choice) and none of the embryos were viable to be frozen and it failed to implant,
This time we are doing the Antagonist protocol with OCP's  and no lupron and hoping my stimulation will go smoothly and the estrogen be in sync with follicle growth. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will be a better protocol for me.
my RE thinks I can do better and she said she's seen major difference in the outcomes of different protocols.
when are you starting the following cycle? did you choose a protocol yet?
I read good things about the antagonist protocol and egg quality.

I had 6 follies on Menopur and my RE tried Lupron to see if I could do better. I totally bombed on Lupron. My estrogren dropped after 8 days and my cycle was cancelled. I am going back to Menopur (antagonist protocol). I would try another protocol. You have nothing to loose. Good luck.

Hi, I used 10 iu of lupron 2x per day with 450 iu of Gonal-f and I am 44 and this is my 1st IVF and I am 4dpt I had 20 follies, I got 17 at ER, 11 fertilized and 10 survived, I implanted 3 and 7, frozen....Good luck to you.
