. I already did do this after my first MC without a positive test. Do you think this could have caused my other 2 MCs even though I added the tablets? Is it good news to find something or is it bad that what they found I already was taking tablets for? Thanks.
Hmmm...good question. I think it's still a good thing, though, because now they know to keep a closer eye on you next time you get pregnant. And even though the pills didn't prevent a miscarriage
last time, it very well could next time, and it's always good to be aware of something like that to make sure you remember taking the pills every day and that you use the right dose of folic
(Factor V), and I have to take a blood-thinning shot throughout my pregnancy, but I think baby aspirin and folic acid is the most common treatment for MTFHR.
If you don't mind my asking, what is that? It looks like an acronym for a swear-word. Sorry. I've never heard of that. I was taking folic acid and baby aspirin too, so I'm interested in that gene you mentioned. Thanks. Take care. O:-)
A_Muse: Hahaha! I always think that too when I see that acronym :-) It's a blood disorder that puts women at a higher risk of developing blood clots (which can also form in the placenta, therefore possibly lead to miscarriages). The baby aspirin then will help thin the blood.
Thanks! What would I think w/o the correct definition??? I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that thought that, sort of. My Dr. told me the baby-aspirin was for our hearts. Thanks for this "MTHFR gene" explanation. You both have educated me more to this relentless-journey we are all on.
Take care and may God bless all of us always, Amen. O:-)
