male infertilily was started.
I know, I never can find any success stories with male infertility, but I know its out there. We got pregnant..and my husbands is really bad..i found a paper on it today and the doc had noted out of 100 million sperm..4 million were good..the rest either wasn't swimming or something..I wished I knew more details on his..I am going to ask next time we go to the doc..I know it will work for you, if by chance you do find some great information on it, let me know! Thanks girl..Good Luck! I'll be praying for all of us!!
Thanks- good luck to you too! I hope it works! If the Clomid doesn't work after 3 months then he'll get the surgery done. Hopefully the Clomid works and we get a natural BFP. I will definatly keep you posted. So, far no side effects w/ DH and the Clomid, it's only been one day though. It is hard to find things on male infertility even though it's pretty coomon. Keep me posted how it works for you guys too!
Yes he took his fertilaid, 1 in the morning and 1 at night with his clomid..He done very well with his except for the mood swings! lol But it was well worth it...Did they say they wanted him to try clomid first then the surgery if that didn't work? They must think that he would benefit from the clomid! I am very excited for you..Good luck! Keep me posted..I don't hear of many couples with male infertility so I would love to know how it works for you two!
Last night I handed Dh his Clomid w/ a man vitamin. He was like what's this and I told him he need to take him male vitamin. Did you DH only take one of the Fertil-aid vitamins a day? Hopefully this works. I was pretty down yesterday because I really wanted him to have the surgery!
Bree, thats a good thing!! Dh's sperm was remarkably better in two months! He may not even need that surgery..I'll pray for you big time! I am so excited for you..Ask about Fertil-aid too, when you go back to the doc..that would be a great vitamen for him to take also..Dh took it with clomid and it was great..he still takes it, when i remind him lol Goodluck girl!!
We went to the Urologist today and he told my DH to take Clomid for 3 months and if that doesn't work then they'll consider surgery to correct the Varicocele. Kinda disappointing, but I guess he's starting the Clomid tonight! :(
No I am not sure about the details of infertility he has I just know the doc said it was probably from him farming and being around all those chemicals but clomid works..I think you dh should start takin it..The only thing i am goin to warn you about is that my dh was very moody :) but he is a real trooper, cause he has been thru alot and never complains! I hope you the best of luck!
Hello
Just to let you know what my husband it a test a couple of weeks ago and his morph was 5%, everything else was normal. Got the results of the next one today and he is up to 20%! So it can change. Good luck!
Congrats. By the way...was the morph consistently 2%? My spouses was 5% on the first attempt...that we just did a few days ago.
No, I am not sure what the exact numbers were. Sorry...
Hi Lisa
Thank you for the response! Do you know what type of male infertility your DH has? I am really, really... hoping the surgery and Clomid work!
Hey bree..i think i may have already commented to you once..but my husband has very low sperm count and unsure about the motility but doc put him on 50 mg of clomid for 25 days and like 2 weeks after he finished i was pregnant..we did lose the baby but atleast we know now that it works...he just finished his 2nd cycle about a month ago so now we are just waiting..I hope you the best of luck.. =)
Hi Juana do you know what your DH testosterone levels were before he started taking Clomid?
Thank you for the response. I'm "hoping" after he gets the varicocele surgery and takes Clomid that we can conceive naturally!
His counts really are not that bad. A motility of 30% is not great, but really not terrible either. I would not be too concerned he has a lot of swimmers. Finding out his total motile might give you more information, that takes volume, motility and concentration into account. We are pretty happy usually with total motile sperm of more than 20 millions for pretty high success rates, that is they are not considered "male factor". GL!
The clomid will probably help with the testosterone. I know when my DH went to the doctor it had more than doubled.
My DH's sperm count is 33 million and his mobility and morphology were both around 20-30 million? I reviewed his blood work and his testosterone levels seemed on the lower side of normal.Any advice? Thank you :)
My spouse and I also had male infertility issue (low motility). I just had a n IUI on 30MAY and am really hoping it works...but guess won't be surprised if it doesn't based on the 'little guy' issue. Before the procedure they said that he was only about 5% motile sperm. We too wanted to try something before IVF especially since cost is a factor for us. I put questions out there on this...just was wondering if anyone else had the same issues as I...in addition to issue with PCOS.
What are his sperm counts?
Thank you for the responses! Juana it really sounds like you'll get your BFP soon- good luck :) bny thank you for the success stories. It helps to hear success stories sometimes to know there is hope at the end of this long tunnel. Thank you
hello! we had male factor (and i have severe endo and mild pcos and one working ovary!) but dh had a normal morph of only 2% which didn't even qualify for IUI.. well with all of our issues we should have gone straight to IVF, but wanted to try something before that.. so our third and last IUI was this month and we have a miracle shock of a BFP! i'm only 4 weeks today, but hopefully it will be a success story ending in a baby in our arms! its defintely possible to overcome male inferitlity! good luck!!!
Hi Bree,
My case is male factor infertility. My DH has been on clomid since October. He ended up having TESA procedure and they were able to retrieve sperm that way. After my stims, i produced 18 eggs, 15 were mature enough to use and 8 fertilized.Unfortunately, our first cycle failed but we only put one egg back and have five left to work with. I am starting my next cycle thursday and hopefully will be doing fet by the end of June. We are putting back two this time. Good luck to you and your DH. Pleasekeep me posted.
PS. Tell him to get ready...the clomid will give him mood swings and hot flashes...they get a taste of wht we have to go through...LOL
