Multiple awaking times and bbt

Multiple awaking times and bbt

Hello!
I'm really confused.
I often awake multiples times at night and can't understand when exactly should I take my temp.
I found such rules:
"Here are some 'RULES OF THUMB' to follow when it comes to temping...

**If you awaken earlier than your normal temping time, briefly...like to roll over or pull on the covers, resist the urge to temp and go right back to sleep.
**If you awaken earlier than your normal temping time, like to use the bathroom, get a drink, etc...and it is 3 hours or more hours before your normal temping time...resist the urge to temp, and go back to sleep after doing what you have to do.
**If you awaken earlier than your normal temping time, like to use the bathroom, get a drink, etc. or if you aren't sure you will be able to go right back to sleep...and it is less than 3 hours before your normal temping time...take your temp at the moment you awaken and report this temp on your chart.
**Multiple temping can indeed cause confusion as to which temp to report on your chart...we recommend against multiple temping.
**We recommend against adjusting a temp as the adjusted temp may be even more inaccurate than the original.
**Laying there awake, whether or not you doing anything, or hitting the snooze button, your temp can/will fluctuate...it is best to take your temp at the moment you awaken. Don't wait to temp."

It looks that I should follow the first rule because I don't get up, continue lying and fall asleep again and take my temp at usual time.
I've been doing so for about 20 days and haven't seen any affect on my temps. Part of my temps were taken after uninterrupted sleep and part - after multiple awaking. There are no 'rocky mountains' or anything.

But I'm still confused if I'm doing right.

Does anyone have similar experience?

I often wake up multiple times in the night.  I have Lab puppy and a Miniature Pinscher that wriggle and play in the bed :)  My DH also gets up an hour or so before me.  I always temp when my alarm goes off, no matter what happened during the night.  Although my temps can vary, I always see the definite luteal shift after O, so I don't stress about it.

If you have a wonky temp or two, you can always "throw them out".

I did find that my first cycle of temping was really stressful, if I was doing it right or not.  Best to wait the cycle out and look at them in hindsight.  If you stare at them everyday, you will drive yourself batty.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! :)
That helped me a lot.
Yes, the first cyce of temping is very stressful. But it is also very interesting to chart and see what your body is doing. :)
