I was told to take 4-8mg Zofran, but the Zofran did NOT work for me and I switched to Phenergen, which I took round the clock up until 15 weeks. All the home remedies just frustrated me for not working, and at 12 weeks I ended up in the hospital for 3 days because I could just not keep even water down. I was so bitter about, thinking everyone was saying these natural remedies worked when they really didn't! It was not a conspiracy though, I was just past the point where this stuff worked. This is called hyperemesis, and you probably have not gotten to this point, but it can happen if your nausea goes uncontrolled for days or weeks at a time. (I don't mean to scare you! I am having twins, so that is prob why it was sooo bad for me)

Around 14 weeks someone bought be some candies called Preggie Pop drops (get them at Motherhood maternity, drugstore ******* or threelollies *******) and they staved off the puking for a while 7 out of 10 times. They are sour fruit flavored candies with homeopathic essential oils. They taste just like candy.

I am almost 24 weeks and still get sick about once a week, but nothing like the non-stop nausea I had before. I have some bout sof nausea still but they are mild compared to what it used to be. If the Zofran isn't working for you, then press your doc even more aboit alternatives. I was told at first I could ONLY take Zofran and only 4 mg also, but I pitched a FIT when it didn't work and they finally opened up more options.

Best wishes, and feel free to pm me any time.

i'm as sick as a dog right now,, and been using zofran.. 8mg at a time with minimal effect.. reglan seemed to have worked a little better for me so far..otherwise, IF i can eat and keep it down carbs seem to be the easiest to tolerate, me and meat are not meshing well these days!   : )

the sea bands would take the edge off for me. i was nauseous from waking to bedtime and i was able to get though the day.  sweet things helped me, i know we are all different but i sipped ice cold v8 splash drink and kept small nibbles in my tummy.  if i became very hungry or full it made it worse.  just keep experimenting and one morning you will wake up (hopefully) and you will feel great!

When I was pregnant I used the "seabands" that you wear on your wrists.  They are only about 10 dollars at the pharmacy and they are a miracle worker!!!  I even let my daugher wear them to combat carsickness when we travel.  They area great alternative to medication!
