I love that I can come to a place and ask questions and get advice from people who have been in similar situations with trying to get pregnant.
I just did my 2nd IUI with 100mg of Clomid and Ovidrel. I was unsuccessful both times. I had 2 follicles
at 18mm. I am trying to decide if I want to go a 3rd time. I asked my doctor if we should up my dosage of Clomid to 150mg but he said it wouldn't give me anymore follicles
After 2 rounds of Clomid+Ovidrel+iui my RE recommended injectables. I had the consultation during the tww of my 2nd Clomid cycle (he insists on a consulation to discuss the risks) and I started injectables the following month. Like you, I had 2 or 3 follicles
the first round with Clomid, the second round I had 1 follicle. My RE did not re-test my FSH while I was TTC #1. I went back to him when my DS was 6 months (conceived on 1st round using injectables) and I had my FSH tested. After 3 iui's I had it tested again (before starting ivf - had to for insurance reasons). I know that the last 2 times it did not change much - 5.8 to 5.7.

Thank you so much for your input. I am still taking some time to think about it. I know the injectables are pretty expensive. Our insurance covers nothing so we have to pay everything out of pocket.
Injectables are expensive. I'm very lucky in that my insurance covers them. My 1st injectables cycle was a success - I got pg with my DS. But talk to your RE about the chances of iui being successful. The cost of meds for an iui cycle would be over $1000. I know that the meds for an ivf cycle cost more, but $1000 is a lot of money.
I am not sure if it is an option, but a friend of mine enrolled in a clinical trial and they paid for her 1st IVF cycle (it paid for everything). She had extra eggs produced so she was able to use them for her later ivf's.
