could i still conceive with twins during IVF if they use more than 1 egg? I would honestly love twins mainly because i don't think i could go through IVF a second time after having a child mainly because of my low pain barrier and i have been told IVF is a painful
i have never done IVF but i'm guessing that if you have 3 embies transfered there is a good chance of having twins/triplets, the same with having FSH injectables growing 3 follies and triggering, there is always a higher chance of multibles when going through assisted reproductive therapies.
thanks very much for the input, i've got a while to wait yet but i would so much prefer twins than going through multiple rounds of IVF to conceive i'm a bit scared of the whole procedure
I think that is not a reason to have more chances of twins in a IVF. Because is an artificial method, if you conceive naturally and you have in your familiy twins may be you have more chances. But of course there is a higher chance to have twins with IVF depending on the number of embryos
transferred. The goal with the IVF is to get pregnant, in one point doesn't matter if there is one or two !!
But don't feel scare of the process, it is not so painful at all, I promise you ! I did two, the second one with success, and they weren't so bad at all, I was also scared at the beginning, you will be fine. The best for you !!
Thanks very much, it doesn't matter whether i conceive one or more kids i'll be happy with whatever i get, i would just prefer to have twins so i wouldn't have to go through IVF again. My aunt went through IVF and said the injections were the worst part and i'm terrified of needles the thought of injecting myself makes me squemish. I've got just over 2 and a half years to wait anyway for IVF because i live in Scotland so hopefully i might not even have to go through it. Thanks again for the comment much appreciated
