BFN here......(sniffle). Sorry to hear about your progesterone but I actually have heard that a progesterone of above 2 confirms ovulation while prog of 10 is good for implantation. did they do an ultrasound as well to confirm ovulation? did they say that you did not ovulate? is this the first month because if so, it could have been a fluke. what were your E2 levels at the time of trigger? Well, I am starting with a new clinic for this cycle because I had many concerns last month that were not addressed and I was a bit upset. today is CD2 which it was NOT supposed to be (one of my concerns-the very early period) so I went to another office for a second opinion and they ended up creating a really proactive gameplan for me so I am hoping that this will be it. If you go another round we will be in the 2ww together again....what are your plans. chin up! hugs
I'm thinking about officially giving up. Finally got my progesterone results today and it was a 3 so even with the hcg shot I didn't ovulate. I don't understand and my dr cant explain to me how I can go from ovulating on my own to taking meds and not ovulating at all. He wants me to try Femara again but at a higher dosage and another hcg injection when the follicles are ready. But I dont see a whole lot of point since I'm pretty confident that if it didn't work before why would it start working. Still hoping you get your BFP let me know when you test and hugs to you too!
nothing here yet...AF due Sat or Sun so I will let you know. surprisingly, I have not even tested yet. I cant believe I have held out. hugs to you.
I tested again this morning and BFN with FMU. Its only 10 DPO so at least I know the trigger is out of my system. I drink tons of water everyday so that would probably explain it. I temp also but I think my battery is dying in my thermometer because my temps have been odd the last two days. I'm going to test again on Thursday. AF is due Sunday or Monday based on when I O'd and my luteal phase. I had my progesterone done yesterday and should have my results this afternoon so I will update you when I get them. How are you doing? Any symptoms to report? When are you going to test?
They say the rule is give it about 10 days to leave your system but it can be less time. It depends on your metabolism, how active you are and how much water you drink. All of these factors can effect it. I have read posts where women tested as early as day five with a negative. It may have been positive with FMU but If I calculate right, you are 8 days past trigger shot so that would not be far off. I would try to hold off another couple of days to test for preg. so that your test is sure to be accurate. ONE MORE DAY DOWN......we can do this. :)
I tested this morning and while it wasn't FMU I figured it would still show up positive because of the HCG injection but it was negative. So now I'm confused I thought it took at least 10 days for the trigger shot to leave your system? Any ideas?
I am well thank you. Dont drive yourself too crazy with the cervix placement because everyones cervix is different in size, structure and the way that they will react to things. I still dont really understand the checking the cervix thing but I do know that my cervix is crazy sensitive and is never responding the way it should be but doc says that none of this should be an issue for me as long as the progesterone is good and the cervix is closed (which mine is very closed when it is supposed to be) so you are going to do an hpt on Monday? just remember that you will most likely get at least a faint line and it could take up to 15 dpo to get a true positive so remember that you are just testing to understand your body this month. (I just dont want you to get upset if it is + monday and - on wednesday) keep me posted :)
I will let you know on Monday after I get mine done. I check my cervix everyday and today it is high and soft just like during ovulation except closed. This is the first month that it has been soft after ovulation usually just stays medium and closed until AF arrives and then drops low. I'm a goofball I know but I did some searching on the internet and it could be an early sign. I can hope at least. I'm going to start testing out the HCG on Monday as well. It should be out of my system by Wednesday if I follow the 1000 units a day norm. *sigh* All over the place again I know. I'm really hoping it is a BFP this month but I'm also confident that it won't be.
How are you doing?
hey there, had my prog yesterday and was at 10.6 which is good (wish it was higher) but it seemed to lower this month since I changed to gonal f. It was in the 40s the last 2 cycles. let me know about yours. As for the HCG......I do get pains for a few days after, I think it is because it is forcing your body to do something that it is not ready to do. It could also be mild cysts which can cause discomfort when they burst (but are very common and generally not considered a danger) or "cross our fingers" IMPLANTATION!!! (Lets hope :) as for the nausea, I would say that it makes sense although I do not have issues with it. I will get a mild headache so I generally do the shot at night. let me know how your appt goes on Monday
Do you get a lot of symptoms with the HCG shot? I've had mild cramping since I O'd but last night and today I keep getting a stronger cramp on my right side which is non-existant. Also had nausea the last few days pretty bad. Hopefully they are all positive side effects even though its way too early. Are you getting your progesterone level checked this cycle at all? I'm going in on Monday for mine which will be 8 DPO so hopefully get a really high number!
SSBD to you!
going on 6dpo....we can do this :)
The HCG give you the positive OPK. Both eggs should ovulate. What matters if the second egg is mature or not. There is no way to know but it probably has a good chance.
I'm really hoping this is it for us!
feeling ok....little aches and pains but for the most part doing well. I just have to hold out as long as possible to test lol...I always get little aches like menstrual pains for a couple of days after shot. We are almost at 3DPO.....We can make it! :)
We are both 2 DPO now. I have some mild cramping but thats about it. I'm sure its from the HCG shot though. How are you doing over there? I always hate the TWW it takes forever to get over with.
you too dolly......I am 2DPO.....lets keep eachother posted!!! this could be it for both of us. :)
Well I am 1 DPO now! I've got all my bases covered with BDing. My husband luckily can't ever get enough so I get my fill and then some. LOL I should know right around the same time as you if its a BFP or if it time for our break. I wouldn't mind having twins either! Good Luck and SSBD to you!
HCG shots will give you false positive OPK's too.
My cycles have always been very normal at 30 days. I had to terminate a pregnancy at 22 weeks due to severe birth defects found at our Ultrasound. after that I had two normal periods (starting 6 weeks after birth) and then my periods stopped. I never had another one. I had to take meds to get it going again and the clomid would make me ovulate really late (cd22) so the doc started doing triggers which keeps my cycles at about 25 days as I usually trigger around day 10 or 11. I have a good luteal phase. Did you start BD earlier than your shot? you may release the first egg naturally a couple of hours before the second one. that CAN happen if you are already in your surge. if you are surging, the shot will guarantee ovulation. But the area of ovulation will be on the same day so if you are covered all day then tomorrow will still be cd1. I am pretty confident that you will have two to work with this month but remember, 97% of women who get pregnant on thier own only release one egg (chances of multiples in normal circumstances are like 3% for this reason) which means that it only takes ONE!!!. My doc actually triggers me when I only have one or two mature eggs to lessen the chances of multiples (although I would not mind twins so this can be done!!!) I should know around Jan 13th. fingers crossed for you/us :).
Thank you for you help I appreciate it! My OPK's were way darker than the control line so I know they were positive. I'm hoping that I release both of the follicles to increase my chances a little bit. I'm really hoping this is my last month of trying and I get a BFP. If it doesn't happen this month we are taking a break for a month or so. I'm going to try to hold off until 14 DPO to test. But like you said its easier said than done! :) Hopefully we both get our BFP this cycle. How long are your cycles usually?
Judging from the tracking of your follicles, I would say that you have NOT ovulated on your own yet, the lead follicles have to be big enough to trigger natural ovulation. after the trigger, you will ovulate anywhere from 24 to 40ish hours. the average is in the 36 to 40 range (I ovulate around hour 39 every month) but I would consider tomorrow 1 dpo. You cant get it down to a perfect science unfortunatley but a couple hours off will not make a difference. I do a different shot now which is only 5000 units but when I had my 10k the first time, I had a false positive on 12dpo. from what I understand the rule of thumb is AT LEAST 1 day per 1000 units past o so 11dpo should be the earliest that the trigger should not show. I would try to wait until 12 or 13 to avoid false positive. I know that can be easier said than done :) I find myself trying to hold off testing as of day 10 every month.
As for the size of the follicle. once a follicle is 17 or 18, it is pretty much guaranteed to release due to the trigger. the follicles continue to grow 1 to 2 mm per day and they continue to grow after the shot so I think it you will most likely relase two follicles. as for the opk, was it the same color or darker than the control line? because I know that my line tends to show up for a couple of days but it is however slightly lighter than the control line which seems like it would be good but is still actually considered negative. I hate the room for interpretation on the opks.....I actually got a monitor on ebay which takes the guess work out of the opk becasue it shows low, high and peak. I dont use it right now though because the shots are doing the timing for me.
everyone is different so I am giving you advice based on what I have read in relation to how I am reacting. I have been doing this activly for 7 months now so I feel that the acutal experience and self monitoring is giving me a better understanding than just reading what is SUPPOSED to happen. good luck to you.
sorry, my post is a bit crazy but I am willing to offer any help I can. I just started my 2ww today so I will cross my fingers that this is the last trigger for each of us. keep me posted.
