This question may seem a little odd, but I read that women who take clomid usually have to take robitussin because clomid dries the cervical mucas??? And robitussin thins out the cervical mucas...Has anyone heard of this???? I was just wondering because when I got pregnant in Sept. 06 I had a REALLY bad cold and was using robitussin (before I knew I was pregnant really wasn't trying then) And I haven't had a cold or anything since so haven't used it, could this have helped me conceive?? I wonder if I have problems with my CM?? Any opinions would be great....And that was my ONLY pregnancy...
I have also heard about this. I did a little research about this a year ago, when I first heard about it and I found out that it can cause possible birth defects. So, I decided it was not worrying trying.
If you are having a a cm problem with clomid, why don't you try pre-seed. It is designed to take the place of cm. I have been using it for several months and I love it. I started using it during my third cycle of clomid, and I have found that it has helped a lot.
You may also want to take Evening Primrose Oil. This helps greatly with cm. You take it from CD1 until ovulation after that you start taking Flaxseed Oil. I have been taking it for about 3 cycles and this cycle I really notice a HUGE difference.
These are just some safer options and I feel like I am doing something right when I using/taking them. Hope this helps!! Good luck with TTC!!
I'm not on clomid...I am taking metformin, but I thought it was odd that when I was sick and taking it I got preg...and nothing since....Just thought I'd see if anyone else has heard about it....what is pre-seed?? Thanks
Pre-seed is a lubricant. It is not like the over the counter kind at the store. It is especially made to take the place of cm. Sadly I cannot buy it in the store, where I live so I order it online.
Just google it and you will find tons of stuff. Please let me know if you need any more info!!
I usually have tons of fertile CM, but I'm on clomid now, and I have very little. It's not that mine is thicker on the clomid, it's just not nearly as much of it. It is really frustrating.
I could only imagine...I'm not good with all of this stuff....I mean I don't literally check my CM, but you can just tell...I would like to start clomid because I hear alot of success stories with it, but my gyno thinks that if we do an IUI without clomid or an hcg shot that I could possibly get pregnant, because I am ovualting....You are not the only one that is frustrated....it is absolutley tiring me out emotonally, but I am definitly not giving up....not until I get what I want :) If you need to vent I am here to listen....This sucks...It'll happen one day though....Good luck
