(7 weeks 2 days) and still no period.
A whole 3 weeks until my GP wants to see me again for possible tests- (i'm in the UK and my doctors just don't seem to think anything like this is urgent!) I'm really trying not to stress but it's impossible- I'm probably the one keeping my period away thru stressing but I can't help it.I keep hoping that it's nothing and I'll just do a preg test that will be positive or my period will show up but it's just not happening. I'm getting really worried about scarring on my uterus from the D&C (Asherman's Syndrome) - this hasn't been mentioned by my doctor, a friend of mine has it and it would just be the worst thing :( (I always think the worst and then if something terrible happens I'm prepared)
Has anyone here ever waited this long after their D&C and then had a positive HPT or their period just turn up? I've had two LH
May 28 of this year, and didn't get a period until August 26th-- almost 13 weeks later. I know how frustrating it can be. I'm sorry you're having this extra burden on you.
Thank you SO MUCH for your reply. I feel loads better knowing I'm not the only one that has been thru this. It really is the MOST FRUSTRATING situation I think I've ever been in, we're so desperate to try again and not knowing what is going on is so hard.
. The two male (after about 8 and 9 weeks wait) both told me it was completely normal for your periods to be 'messed up' after a D&C, - I also had tummy pain two weeks after each LH
surge- that's why I went to see the doctor originally as it was excruciating- they told me this was irritable bowel syndrome (?) and prescribed anti-spasmodic drugs.
As I didn't feel taken seriously by the other doctors I booked in with the female
doctor. She said it was unusual but not unheard of to wait this long but I only saw last Tuesday, she said to wait a further 4 weeks and if still nothing she will send me for investigations.
After this long you would think the idea of waiting 4 weeks would feel like 5 minutes but the prospect of not knowing what's going on with my body for over another month (at least when I then have to wait for hospital appontments after that time) feels like an eternity!
I had a D&C done in July and it took just over 13 weeks as well for my AF to start back up. I read somewhere that it took one person 15 weeks after D&C for AF to show. I hope this helps put your mind at ease knowing others have been in the same situation. Keep hanging in there it will be back before you know it, and then you will want it gone again:)
