Negative blood HCG!!!

I'm 17 DPO and I got today a negative blood HCG! My bbt is still high. I took two HPT two days ago and there was a very very faint line. Could I still be pregnant? Has tis happened to any of you and were pregnant???

Did you get a qualitative or quantitative blood test?  One will just yes or no and the other will give you actual numbers of your HCG - it's better to get the one with numbers and then find out what the numbers are.

With the bbt still high, there's always a chance, but the bloodwork should be more sensitive than hpts!

Take another HPT in the a.m. Take a digital one that will say pregnant or not pregnant, so that there is no question!

When I was pregnant, the doctors office called and said my test came back at 3 and I wasn't pregnant, but when I went home and took an hpt, it said 'pregnant' - there had been a mixup at the lab!

I don;t know what is going on with your body but, I would like to say this:  My friend thought she was pregnant (she was not taking her BBT), her period was late, she had really bad headaches, and she just had that feeling.  She took several tests that said no.  She then called her OB.  They did a blood test and told her that she was not pregnant.  She then went home and tested again.  Still N.  About 3 weeks later there was still no period and she was craving pickles.  She bought another test.  Still N.  Called the doctor back and he called her in for another blood test.  Finally, she got a P.  She ended up being 6 weeks pregnant before it ever showed up.  

So, a blood test is "technically" most accurate however, it isn't perfect science.  I don't want to give you false hope. I just want to tell you that sometimes tests can be wrong.

yes, amy is right,,,the Dr say, that one can get P, with irregular period or late ovulation sometimes it takes time to show up,,they ask to wait atleast for 45+1week, to get the possible result, ,,,,line is a line,,eventhough it does not need to be darker,,,
Take a digi test,,,or go for one more HPT,,,
I think u may be pregnant with high BBT,,,,Goodluck,,,,
