I just joined this board this morning and I love it already. My partner of 7 years and I have decided to have a baby and so far the ultra sound and blood test have all come back normal. Today I go for an HSG and I'm a bit nervous. I've had sex
with men in the past but never got pregnant, but I'm thinking because I was young and wasn't as educated as I am now about ovulation and conception. I shared this with my doctor and she said it would be a good idea to do the test but that my ignorance and naivety is probably what prevented me from getting pregnant early on. I'm not complaining, that was definitely a blessing considering I was young and a lot of dumb but now I know who am I and know what I want so bad that I'm driving myself crazy thinking about everything that could go wrong :(
All of my blood test came back normal on Monday but I found out that I have an O negative blood type and a negative Rh
and I will have to get Rhogam injections to prevent my blood cells from attacking our baby ! Creepy! Everyone that I talked to about it said it was no big deal but this is all brand new to me so I'm trying my best to stay positive.
Welcome to the forum! The HSG is a good test to make sure your tubes are open. As for your blood type, the people you talked to are right. It really isn't a big deal, as long as you just get the rhogam injections. Best of luck with everything!
