New here, in need of help! Trigger and hpt?

Hi ladies, I came across this form while looking for information on my situation. I was not able to find information, but seen how helpful this form is for other women!
A quick break down of my background, miscarriage August 09, have been trying since with no luck. Started seeing infertility doctor August 10. This is my second round of femara 5mg days 3-7. The first cycle my dr was worried I did not ovulate because he found a 32mm cyst where a 15mm follicle had been a week prior. This cycle, I had an u/s on day 11 showing a 19mm follicle. I triggered cycle day 12 at 9:00 p.m, this was October 4th. On Tuesday (10/12) I tested with a dollor store tree test to see if the trigger left my system, and it was negative. Last night I tested with a one step test, and was positive. But it was so light I thought I was seeing things. I tested again a few hours later with first response early detection, same result. I took another first response this morning, and a positive line came up but light than last nights. What is happening here? Am I to assume this is trigger?

while trigger hcg can remain in your system up to 14 days, most women clear it faster than that.
i had a negative hpt 7 days after trigger and my first bfp 8 days afterwards.
each day thereafter the line got progressively darker and i am now 30 weeks pregnant.
so defintely possible you are pregnant, you'll just have to wait a few more days to know for certain.

Well, I am not a pro at this but had my first trigger shot this month. Tomorrow I am going to test though it is early at only 10dpo but 12dp trigger. I was going to test this morning but chickend out. I think you may be really pg. I would request a blood test and they will probably do it Monday as by then the trigger will definitely be out of your system. You are pretty close to me it seems, did you do IUI or just good ole BD? I did IUI on 5th and 6th. Good luck to you and I would retest tomorrow to see if the line gets darker or lighter :)

Oh let me know what your test says! Hopefully BPF! We are very close in cycles, what day did you trigger for IUI? We haven't moved on to IUI yet, I'm still holding on to hope for natural. I'm to nervous to call my doctor, I don't to get my hopes up yet. But yes, I definitely will be testing again!

I wouldn't give up hope yet, i have read many people who get their BFP 10dpo and many who say the trigger is already gone at 7 dp trigger. So, Stay positive, this may be it for you. I too am expecting af around Weds so I know it is early but I feel like af is right around the corner so we will see.

My doctor said to test 12 days after the trigger shot to be on the safe side. Otherwise you could be disappointed if it is a false positive.

I tested at lunch also 11dp trigger and got a very faint +. So please everyone, tell me when you got your -hpt after trigger. I haven't tested before now....

I got a bfn 8dp trigger today. Hoping to retest at 14dp trigger to be on the safe side. Everyones body processes the trigger differently though. My re said to wait until 14 dpo so as not to get a false positive. Lots of ssbd to you though!!!

Well ladies, i tested this morning at 3am because I woke up at 1:30 am and could not go back to sleep. It was most definitely darker but not yet as dark as the control line. I am still cautious about getting excited due to the fact that I used FMU if that is even possible when you pee every hour. So I will see how today goes and test again tomorrow. The Dr said trigger should be gone by day 12 but sometimes some will lag over so I hope this is a real +

Hello again, I know all the facts about triggers and testing and everyone is different, but also my dr said it depends on strength of trigger, i.e 1500iu or 2500iu etc,  from your experience or anyone else you know would you expect a strong line after trigger shot of 1500iu 7 days ago, its just on my last ivf, i tested from day 7 onwards again just to see if trigger was leaving my system and only got a very, very faintline by day 7 or 8 . I am being anxious , hate this damn 2ww!! just hope the dreaded blood doesnt rear its ugly head, best wishes to you, YOURS IS A BFP-not trigger i'm surexxxx melissax

I completely understand how frustrating this 2ww is! UGH! I took 10,000iu so they say avg of 10 days to get it out of my system. I hope you are right and its the real thing!

omg .. I love this thread .. so much exciting news!!  you ladies definitely sound pg .. if the hpt gets a little stronger every day its the hcg rising not the trigger leaving!!

Mel .. after my trigger I tested everyday to watch it leaving my body and it was completely gone after 7 days .. then got a very faint + 2 days after that which just got stronger every day.  I really hope this line means BFP for you!!!

I have my transfer this thursday so getting very excited!

Hello feel cross with myself for thinking the impossible so soon, having such strong lines on the hpt's really did surprise me as I was only 8dp 2dt and 9dp 2dt so was too early to be real thing and had to be pregnyl, and guess what was the pregnyl!! today 10dp 2dt the hpt was neg, no trace or tinyiest bit so I know now trigger all gone, looking back I did have a lot 15000iu 2 days before egg collection, 1500iu on transfer and 1500iu 3 days after that so thats why taken so long to get rid of, now I've got the next 4 days desperate to see if our little straggler made it, so happy for you (tryingforbaby2) and best wishes for thurs tonnes99, will update soon lots love melissaxx

My test is again darker today! Not as dark as the control yet, but its getting darker so thats what matters I hope! I don't have an appointment yet for a beta, but I am calling today to get one :)

I tested 10dpt an got a bfn. I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning (12dpt) to test again but I'm not getting my hopes up. Only had one follicle and did clomid& ovidrel and bd on our own this month. I'm disappointed but I think this food poisoning I got last nigh. Is distracting me a little lol. I'm so excited for all the possible bfp's though!!

dont give up hope yet! my positive on 10dpt was so faint i thought i was seeing things! it was still very early. good luck make sure you let us know! and it is still possible, i had one follicle also, through femara along with ovidrel.
i should get my beta result tonight.

Yeah I took a pregnant/not pregnant test and it said not pregnant. I'm going with the lines test next time for sure. The hpt's are so expensive now and my walgreens can't seem to keep them in stock. I'm crossing my fingers& toes that you get your definitive bfp tonight!!! Did you have any symptoms when you got your bfp on the hpt? Do you have any symptoms now? Make sure you let us know when you get your beta test back.

that is exactly why i wouldnt use the digital tests, i think your best bet is the one with the lines. and thank you! the only signs i had then (which i still have today) is tired more than usual, my boobs hurt pretty badly (off&on) and period cramps and very moody which is just like my period for me. i'm still waiting on the beta, i'm hoping its ready by the time they close! im trying not to go crazy over here lol

Tested this morning when I woke up (12dpt) and got bfn. I'll go in for b/w officially on Thursday and hopefully they'll call in something to bring on my af & start this process all over again! Please let me know your beta on Friday! It gives me hope

I have everything crossed for you!! Good luck!! I don't really get a af on my own or ovulate on my own. We did clomid & ovidrel. No iui on our own this cycle. It was also my testing cycle I had a hysteoscopy & hsg done. Everything was good except some scar tissue which I had removed. I'm crampy today which is weird since I don't get my af on my own. I'll post when I get my official b/w probably tomorrow or Friday. And I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

I'm having intense sharp pains couple inches under my belly button. Not sure what they are since I don't usually get af on my own. Hopefully goes away soon. A little pink discharge a little while ago though wasn't sure if possible af on my own!! Or just bc we just had made love. Anyone have any thoughts?

I had sharp pains in my lower stomach and left side for a couple of days before I tested and got my BFP. Pink can be implantation. How many days past IUI are you???

I'm 14dpt. 13dp bd on our own. But funny enough I never get my af on my own and when I do it's random and lasts different amounts of time. I'm pretty sure I'm getting af. What funny is not only am I getting it on my own but it shows up the exact day it should if i had bfn. I just didn't remember how intense the cramps were bc it's been a long time since I've gotten af on my own. I'd like to be put out of my misery now though.

I also had lots pains on my stomach & lots of cramping as well.....
I still have the pains on my stomach & the cramping went away.....
I had my tigger shot 10/17/10,  & my IUI on 10/19/10.....
How do you check if the tigger shot left your body??

The only way to test to see if it's out of your system is keep testing hpt everyday and watch for the negative to come.  Looks like your beta bloodwork or hpt day would be 10/30.

Thanks for the kind words. It's been a hard day. It's my first af after actually ovulating and i've been in unbearable pain all day. Last time I ovulated I got pregnant and then m/c.

I had my b/w & u/s today for day 5. Everything looks good. Started clomid 150mg today and go back on nov 5th for another b/w & u/s an hopefully a trigger shot! My and dh birthday are 11/21 I'm hoping for a bday present for us.

Hi Im new here,

37 yr old mother of two teenagers from previous marriage (early mommy!).  I re-married 2 1/2 yrs ago and dh had an unsuccessful vr in late 2008 (he's also the father of 3).  have been trying naturally for 2 years just to find out his numbers are pretty bad - 11 million w/ only 7% moderately motile - and this was only after I convinced him to try drinking Ying Yang Pao and Horny Goatweed tea ( I am big on alternative medicine). Prior to this, RE only recommended a second surgery or IVF - both were out of reach for us.  I have no reproductive issues and have been taking Vitex herbal drops along with prenatal vitamins for 3 months now. I started my first single IUI with hcg trigger this month:

day 1- post trigger - light bleeding and cramping
day 2- post trigger - lots of yellow discharge
day 3- post trigger - still yellow discharge
day 4- post trigger - very little discharge - (first faint positive hpt)
day 5- post trigger - uneventful
day 6- post trigger-  sore bbs  (another faint positive hpt)
day 7- post trigger - some light cramping/no discharge
day 8- post trigger - feeling "hot" and bloated ( another faint positive)
day 9- post trigger - more light cramping/bloated
day 10- post trigger - bloating/cramping (faint positive hpt)

Today is 11 dpo.  I will be testing again tomorrow.  I also have been experiencing the whole vivid dream thing as well as checking my cervical position which has fluctuated the entire time.  I know the trigger is out of a woman's system at any given time.  I am hoping this is the one for us!!

on average they sayd it takes 7 days for the trigger to go out of your system. some women shorter some longer. Gl. Keep me up dated. I am on 7dpiui.
