New to Clomid...Any suggestions?

Hi everyone....I am new to Clomid 50mg....I just started my 1st round today. I am still takign Metformin, but it's been increased to 850mg 2x a day.  I am looking for any info or suggestions.  Much Baby Dust & Prayers to all.

Are you doing IUIs or timed intercourse? If timed intercourse, and you use OPKs, just keep in mind that you need to wait a couple of days after your last pill before you can start testing, since clomid can give a false positive.

Also, do you ovulate on your own, or are you taking it because you don't ovulate? If you do ovulate on your own, and you have a fairly normal cycle, clomid can delay ovulation a few days (I ovulated about three days later than normal on clomid).

Lets's see...what else? Oh yeah, clomid can dry up cervical mucus in about a third of users. And some also experience thinning of the uterine lining after a few months. So if you end up staying on clomid for a while, make sure you get a checkup to ensure that your lining is OK. It's not an issue for everyone, but it does happen to some. But hopefully it'll work the first time, so you won't even have to worry about that :-)
