Next Steps after 2 M/C's and one ectopic

Okay, so I went to see my gyn whom I love.  He is so optimistic??!!!!  He asked right out the gate have I thought about next steps (he forgot who he was talking to).  He gave me some great ideas and advice (do you guys know there are mini ivf's which are less expensive??).

Anywho, he said where I should begin is getting my eggs and dh sperm tested beecause I am able to get pregnant, but something is going wrong when the sperm and the egg meet.  The only thing is what kind of tests do you take for this??

He did suggest IVF, so they can at least see if it will be viable enough to put back in and they can see what's wrong, to limit my chance of m/c.  I'm jsut so nervous abot conventional IVF, but want my babies!!!

By the way - My gyno doesn't think I  had an ectopic, he thinks it was just a blighted ovum, which is what I thought, but better to be safe than sorry is what my RE was going for, I guess??

I've had 3 m/c in a year and my doctor put me and my husband through chromosome tests.  I think that this would be what you need to find out if the eggs and sperm are good.  If your chromosomes are good and so are dh's then that should hold true for your eggs and his sperm.  I have the same issue, I get pregnant so obviously dh's boys are getting the job done but I can't seem to stay pregnant.  DH's testing is done, he's choromosomally "normal."  My test was not done by the lab so I had to go again yesterday and should find out about my genes sometime next week.  I had two blighted ovums and one m/c where a heartbeat was found but later disappeared.  Good luck, let us know how things go!
