Nothing seen on 7 week ultrasound

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 1/2 years. After doing many failed attempts of clomid and iui we went to a specialist.  He suggested IVF with ICSI.  Went through the whole procedure and after waiting the 2 weeks, found out we were pregnant!!!  Had our 6 week ultrasound and the Dr. had a hard time seeing anything at first but did find the sac and a heartbeat, they said to come back in a week to recheck. Had that ultrasound today (7 weeks) and they couldn't see anything.  Have not had any bleeding and still have pregnancy symptoms. Also we decided to check the hcg levels today and have to check again in 2 days to see if they are dropping. Just courious if anyone has been through this before or anything simular.

OK, that makes sense. I know the wait is a torture, so try to hang in there :) Hope it all goes well!

Thank you. The Dr. thought she could see a sac but didn't see a heartbeat. My hcg level today was 161,705, but have to see what the level is in 2 days to see what's going on.

I'm sorry to hear that :( By saying "anything" do you mean nothing at all or just the heartbeat? Unfortunately, it is most likely not a good sign... At 7 weeks there should have been seen more growth in the embryo.  I know there is a condition called "missed miscarriage" when there is no bleeding or symptoms but the embryo just stops developing for some reason. Did you get your hcg levels back yet? I guess that should confirm IF something is gong wrong. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you :)
