OHSS after positive pregnancy test!!

I had my embryo transfer on 10/18/2008. On 10/26/08 I took a hpt and it came positive. I did not rely on it as it was too early. I also noticed that my stomach started to bloat and my weight increased. It started to get very uncomfortable and started paining . I called the doctor yesterday and they called me in for a check up and she said it was Ovarian hyper stimulation.  I cant stop worrying about that. I am still waiting for the beta result, which was done yesterday along with other blood tests. Has anyone gone through this OHSS after getting a positive pregnancy?? Is this going to affect the little bean? When should I be worried? How long will this take to go away. My stomach is expanding and is pushing on the ribs and that is hurting me even more. Please advice.....

You have started to OHSS after the retrieval. Usually it happens after ovulation but maybe it was moderate at the time and you didn't notice. If you really are pregnant it will take same time to go away cause the hormones now will increase and having pain is not good.Your doctor should monitor you very closely cause this is a dangerous situation.Like Kaprovea i didn't do a fresh cycle cause i was starting to OHSS. My doctor so that when i went in for the transfer so he postponed it until my ovaries returned to normal. Good luck on your test

So you are hyper stimulating 2 weeks after transfer?  When I had my retrieval the day after I hyperstimulated and was in a lot of pain.  I didn't get pregnant.  They wouldn't do the transfer because I was hyper stimulated and that would make it worse.  Were you hyper stimulated before the transfer?
