OV Watch

I was watching Tyra Banks and they had Trista Sutter on (she's the former Bachelorette from the reality show).  She and her husband were having a hard time TTC, almost 2 years.  She mentioned that she used the OV watch, it predicts ovulation up to 4 days in advance by measuring the amount of something that is secreted in your sweat while you sleep.  I ordered one and will let you know how it works out for me.  Has anybody else tried this or heard of it?

My understanding is that the device is able to detect an increase in chloride ions.  Chloride ions are supposed to increase before the LH surge.  I think it is similar to the ClearBlue Easy Fertility Monitor which is supposed to detect an increase in estrogen, which is supposed to occur prior to the LH surge.  If I remember correctly, chloride ions are supposed to increase even before estrogen does, so it really lets you know when your most fertile days are.

The only problem I hav ever heard about the device is that it can beep several times during the night when you first start using it.  I don't remember if that was just one person who reported that, or if it was more than one.
