On provera and confused?

The Md prescribed Provera for 10days starting April 3. On April 9, I started bleeding, but it stopped about 24 hours later and has not restarted. I have not had my period since Jan 5th and am TTC. This was given to jump start my period. So the Md stated to start calculating the beginning of your cycle from the 1st day of bleeding, but it did not look like a normal period. Is this correct and has anyone gotten pregnant after taking provera only once? Thanks

Have you taken a pregnancy test? I would assume maybe you have it you are TTC. I heard somewhere that if provera didn't work then it means you could be pregnant. I could be wrong.

I've also heard that if it doesn't work, you my need additional hormones. Like going on birth control pills for a certain amount of days. But I guess it's possible to have a short period, but 24 hours is pretty short. But everyone is different.

I have taken provera the last 3 months. But I take is 5mg for 5 days and by the 3rd day after the last pill, I start.

What has your Dr said? I'm sorry I can't give you more information. Good luck in your TTC journey!

I just was prescriped provera also.  My periods always seemed to be irregular, then Jan 07 I went till March with out one.  I think that one was due to stress.  At an rate, he said the Provera would jump start my period then also put me on Clomid right after I start my period on days 5-9 of Cycle.
