Optimal sperm count for IUI

I read many conflicting numbers on the sperm count for IUI. Does anyone know what numbers are the best to have?

I read optimal is 30-40 million but then read anything at 10 million plus was great, too.

My RE didn't comment on the counts plus I never thought to ask until I starting reading about it.

Thanks!  I feel much better. We had 10 mil after washing this cycle but only 7 mil last cycle. I know it only takes one swimmer and so glad that you shared that you had less then 10 mil and you got pg!

My RE said they he likes to see it above 10 million after washing. The higher number might be before washing, and then the 10 million is the good sperm left after washing. We had less than 10 million after washing so I was pretty bummed at the time but turns out I still got pregnant!
