- 4 prior to my DD and now one since. My RE is suggesting we try a medicated cycle which DH and I are all for. We are getting too old to go another 3 years before getting lucky enough again or finally calling it quits on baby #2. I don't want to think about that possibility!
So in order to up our chances of a good egg we are going to try meds. I won't know what my protocol will be until we meet with the doctor but wanted opinions on oral vs injectibles from anyone with experience. We will go in on CD3 and have blood and u/s and then find out what route my RE wants us to take. I did 1 round of Clomid a few years ago that did work for me - with only 1 "decent" follicle
& a really short cycle (24 days!) I ended up with tons of cysts on both ovaries, had to take the next month off from meds and ended up pg on my own the next month. That turned into my 4th mc though.
So I know a little about clomid, but who knows anything about follistim or any other injectibles? I am 36 and just feel like my egg quality is not all that great. I don't remember ever having my FSH done (although I can't imagine that in all my workups it wasn't) - so either I didn't or it was fine so I don't remember the number being significant.
Anyway....I'd appreciate any stories, good or bad, that anyone has........
