Overstimulated Ovaries

I have been diagnosed with over stimulated ovaries 2 days after administering a booster of Novarel.  At the time I was experiencing severe abdominal pain and my abdomen was distended.  Now it is 5 days after the shot and the swelling is moving into my lower extremities, down to my knees.  I am about 13 pounds heavier than when I started the fertility injections.  I am concerned about whether or not the lower extremity swelling is normal.

Has anyone heard of this happening before??

When I did injectables with the HCG shot, I too, experienced severe swelling in my ankles and knees shortly after the injection when I was hyperstimulated.  However, 13 pounds of fluid is a concern.  My RE says that if you can more than 5 pounds they need to know about it and may need to drain fluid.  I would definitely call your doctor and let them know what's happening, even if it's just as a percaution.  Also, make sure you take it easy and drink lots of gaterade to help.  Feel better!

You should get in touch with your doctor cause your condition is not easy.13 ib is a lot and if your have pain in the legs is not a good sign.YOu will need to drain the fluid.The fluid can also get to the lungs and that will be a problem.Contack your doctor or get to a hospital for a check up.
