Ovidrel injection

Hello all,

Has anyone discussed with their Dr. on how long Ovidrel stays in the system. I have been hearing several different answers, if anyone thinks they may know for sure, can they please help me. Oh yeah, I am trying to be patient but we all know how that goes. LOL

I do know...I went threw this last cycle..
I called my pharmacy and asked how long ovidrel 250 mcg stays in your system, and here is what he said:
It has the half life of 29.2 hours, so that means this:
29.5 hours from the injection it is 50% out of the body, then every 29.5 hours, that amount is cut in half, he gave me all the figures:

-50% out
-75% out
-87.5% out
-93.75% out which he said is considered completely out.

So here is what I calculated for myself last cycle:
3/26 - 7:30 am injection
3/27 - 1:30 pm 50% out, 50% left
3/28 - 7:30 pm 75% out, 25% left
3/30 - 1:30 am 87.5% out, 12.5% left
3/31 - 7:30 am 93.75% out and 6.25% left
You keep dividing the number by 2 (6.25 / 2 = 3.125%)
and so on...

Hope this helps...

PS it was still in me 10 days later!!!

This is incorrect. You need to start with 5000 for the 250 mcg shot and divide by 2 every 35 hours. This is worst case scenario for getting out of your system.
