Ovulation Testers? Looking to buy one dont no which one to get
hi everyone
i was looking at getting the "maby baby" ovulation tester that u use ur saliva to check if ur ovulating but i wasnt sure which is the best brand that i can buy online i live in australia and that one is availible here
i want one thats accurate and that i can buy online
i do not know about the saliva ones. i can try to research a little and get back to you. i used the ones you pee on and i just bought the generic kind called answers and they worked fine.
The item you are looking at is a ferning microscope. Every day you put a little saliva on the lens. If it makes a pattern when it dries that looks like a fern, it is possible that ovualtion is near. Many women use them and really like them. I have used them and didn't get the accuracy I would like to see.
Probably the easiest way is ovulation predictor kits (opks). Since you want to pruchase online, I would suggest either babyhopes dot......com or saveontests dot...com. They are quite inexpensive there compared to a druggist. You should be able to puchase them at your local druggist if you wanted to save shipping.
There is also a fertility monitor. It works similar to opks. It is actually a little computer with sticks that are dipped in urine
surge, it will give a "peak" reading indicating it is time for ovulation. They are rather $$ at approx $125 us dollars plus around $50 for the sticks. The best place to find a good deal on one is ebay. You can find them under Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitors.
The ones at fertility solutions look just like any other internet brand. You'll see them refered to here on the forum as IC. The ones at fertility naturopath seem expensive comparatively.
Normally, the ideal time for conception is 12-16 days b4 af (your period). It is possible, as anything is. But, very doubtful. On a 28 day cycle, normally o will take place around the 14th day and af will show in another 14 days. The time from o until af is called the two week wait or tww as you'll see here. So, it's most likely too late for this cycle. Who knows, maybe you caught it anyway :)
My I suggest the saliva ovulation microscope called ovatel it's a one that is 98% accurate, you do not chuck it away, you can use it month after month there is no part to replace at all.
I am sure you can by it online from a place in australia if you cannot get it in australia there is a web site you can go to which sells it.
the company is called accessdiagnostics the address is www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk
I have one and it seems to be working for me.
try the place and see if you can order one they do international ordering so it's not a problem.
good luck I hope this works for you.
sending lots of baby dust.
Sorry, I should have posted this sooner. At the top of this page on the right is a tab called "Health Pages". Click on it and there is a full list of the most common
If your cycle length is the same every month and you know the period of your O, then the OPKs are good. But if you have an abnormal cycle length and O date varies, then I would say go for the monitor. It is worth the money and once you know your body well you can predict it accurately and the cost on the sticks get reduced. As per me I am using it for almost a year now and I am currently at the stage where looking at my symptoms (like CM, BBT etc), I use only 3-4 sticks and get a +ve O reading. All the best and wish you SSBD.
