Ovulation pain

Hi, Do any of you suffer from bad pain around the time of ovulation. I am in complete agony down the left side of my abdomen for 3 days every month, I feel like I am being continually stabbed, I take Ibuprofen and paracetamol and this helps.
I went to the family planning clinic and they said unless the pain is there all the time then it's just ovulation. But I haven't had a scan or anything so I'm a bit worried about it.
I had a miscarriage last May and have had this pain every month since but had never had it previous to getting pregnant.

Thanks for any advice

I had that kind of pain in that same area and it was a cyst but at first i thought it was just ovualtion. I would go and get checked just to make sure.

I agree with the above comment.  The pain shouldn't be that bad and it's suspicious that it started happening after the m/c.  I wouldn't wait until April to find out, personally.  Best wishes.

Hi, I have the same exact stabbing sharp pain in my ovaries each month for about two days when I ovulate. I have had a huge amount of tests for infertility and they all have come back normal. I wouldn't worry too much about it, some people get the pain a lot worse than others. Does yours hurt especailly bad when going from a sitting down position to standing up, or visa versa? That is the worst for me!! Well, good luck!!

hi..i can usually tell when i'm ovulating but it really should not be "terrible pain". I would talk with ur dr. and just make sure, no reason to be in that much pain evry month..good luck
