test with the at home ovulation predictor kits. Is it possible that I get my period regularly, but I don't ovulate regularly? We've been trying to get pregnant for about 1 year, and we are now having all the fertility tests done to see what the problem is.
I have had the exact same problem except that I did get a + OPK 2 times but was testing for almost a year. I wonder if we do ovulate but our hormone levels are not high enough to show it on the OPK.
I am interested in the answer to this because I get my AF everymonth (and 1-2 times a year 14 days apart) and do not understand it as well.
If you have a regular cycles, you probably do ovulate. Sometimes, you can miss the surge if you test at the wrong time. Let's say you test at 9 a.m. every day, yet your surge occurs at 9 p.m., then you could technically get two negative results on each side of your actual surge. That's why some suggest testing twice a day when you get close to your expected ovulation. Also, are you guys testing first thing in the morning? If so, you might want to test later, since LH
I tested every month for like 6 months with no positive tests at all, I thought I wasn't ovulating.
I found the problem for me was that I figured I was ovulating about 14 days before AF started, since everyone seemed to tell me that. It wasn't correct, and so usually gave up testing before I actually ovulated. The first time I used them for longer, I got a really strong positive. You may want to try testing for a longer period of time???
I have been doing opks for 5 months and would always get surges
and i have very regular 30 day cycles. but my progesterone proves
that i don't ovulate at all. So just cause you have a regular cycle does
not mean that you are ovulating. not to be a downer but thought i would
tell you my experience will be starting clomid but first have to wait for
af since doc put me on 28 day bc.
