PANICK - PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

PANICK - PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Hello,

I've been ttc for only 3 months now, and I THINK/THOUGHT this month may be a lucky month for me.  I don't check my temps or anything like that, I've pretty much been relying on EWCM along with the fact that I'm REGULAR........my cycle is 28 days faithfully, other than when I was pregnant, it's been 28 days for as long as I can remember, like clockwork.  Now here's my issue, AF came on the 18th of February, which would cause me to THINK that I ovulate on the 4th of March (just yesterday) me and hubby bd on the 2nd (around 2pm)two times, AND on the 4th (around 8pm)one time, so because of this I feel/felt that I have a good chance this month, BUT I just read somewhere on the internet that a woman, even with regular 28 day cycles may NOT ovulate 14 days before the onset of the next menses.  It says that this assumption is based on outdated information and that a study was done with 69 women (they used basal tempting) and that ONLY 10% ovulated 14 days before the onset of the next menses but that many of them ovulated much earlier (7-10 days) OR later 17-20 days)..........HAVE ANYONE HEARD OF THIS OR KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE OR NOT?  If this is true, then I've been going about it all wrong!!!  PLEASE help, because my husband left to go on a business trip late last night, and by the time he returns will be PAST CD20.........IS THIS TRUE.........HELP (sorry for the long email, BUT I'm feeling VERY discouraged now..........).....help, help, help!@!!!!!!!!!!!

USUALLY WHEN I HAVE A 28 DAY CYCLE I DO OVULATE ON THE 14 DAY, I ALWAYS HAVE THE OVULATION PAINS THATS HOW I KNOW,EVERYONES SYSTEM IS DIFFERENT THOUGH,SOME WOMEN FIND THE OVULATION TEST KITS VERY HELPFULL , YOU ARE THINKING RIGHT THOUGH ABOUT YOUR CYCLE LENGTH AND 14 DAYS LATER MOST WOMEN DO OVULATE THEN SO I THINK YOU WILL BE FINE AND I HOPE EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR YOU.

the typical O day is 14 days prior to starting your af. so if you are on a 28 day cycle then yes day 14 is when you should o. does it mean that will happen that day? not always. the ewcm actually can appear 1-3 days before you actually o. i used opk's this month. i found that i either o'd the typical 14 days prior, or a day earlier. try  not to panic, even when we bd on the "right" days we still dont have a 100% chance of concieving. unfortunatly you have to just wait it out now. not very reassuring im sorry. im in the tww boat too. if you get it this month, congrats, and if not get some opk's to determine the exact time you do o. and if you take them, you should take them twice a day, as some have missed the surge by only doing it once.

I too had a very regular cycle (28 days) & could tell you the hours AF would be expected to arrive.  I only found after charting my temps that I was ovulating between days 15-17.  If you are willing to chart it will help you determine where you are in your cycle to better predict O.

I'm not sure..but I thought for sure if you're cycle was 28 days that you o'd on day 14.  Because 14 days after you O, you get AF. You're okay though, because sperm lives for several days in the CM, os if you o on day 16 or 17 your fine. (Theorhetically speaking)

I usually use OPK's to help me and of course EWCM.
