Period While on Prometrium?

I've just been through my second round of IVF (first one was unsuccessful) and am now 7 days post 5 day transfer.  I'm starting to feel period-like cramps, and I was wondering whether I can expect to start my period while on prometrium (400mg, twice a day)?  Also, has anyone experience similar cramps around this time and still been pregnant?

I just did a frozen transfer and I noticed cramping....for me because this is my second preg. I know that the cramping is a bit different that pms cramping but at times it is the same....so the answer I am trying to get at but babbling instead is that you can have cramping...it may be implaintation, it may be that you are preg and the uterus is making adjustments.  I found out friday that I am preg and the cramps that I feel are no longer like pms cramping but more like the uterus changing and growing!  So don't give up hope and good luck to you!  FYI...I took 6 hpt and they all came back negative so just wait for the blood test and I wish you the best!!!!!!

I went for my frozen transfer 02.07.07, and am on 200mg of prometrium 3 times a day.
My last attempt I didn't start my period until the nurse told me to stop taking the meds, and that same AF came. She did ask if I had had any spotting before she gave me the news, so I do believe you still can get AF if you are on the meds.
I too am feeling cramping, sometimes if feels like usual AF cramping and sometimes if feels like a stretchy cramp (if that makes any sense) sometimes it feels kind of cold cramp too (again hard to explain). I have these cramps and everyday I feel nauseous, sometimes in the morning, sometimes at night, sometimes all day. I have been feeling this way for a week now.
I hope that these are positive signs, that I will get a BFP on Thursday, but I have some doubt thinking it's just the meds making me feel this way. Because honestly I thought I would know for sure, and that other signs would be apparent too (likes sore boobies) as I always get that when AF is coming or here, but I don't have that now.
Best wishes to everyone, I feel a great comfort in finding that there are other experiencing the same symptoms, with positive outcomes...

Thanks for the congrats....and I know how hard the wait is!  Like I said before, I would go between thinking that I was positively preg to thinking that AF was going to start any min!  But the cramps were different and although all hpt's showed neg, I read on this site and felt hope!  I wish the best for you and have a good feeling for you!  Please keep us updated on your progress!

And yes, it is a great feeling...this was our last chance to do the IVF.  We did it fresh 4 and a half years ago and had my son.  I had 4 frozen embryos and they thawed them and transfered 3.  I knew I wouldn't do the IVF again so we were thinking donor sperm, but am glad that things worked out for my hubby and I.

Like I said, good luck.....I have a good feeling for you!

read your posts, I had cc IUI on 11th and the nurse told me to test on the 25th even if I got my period.  I don't know if this would be the same for you, but thought it was similar. have been going crazy to, you are so intune to every feeling in your body you just don't know if you are making it happen.  Don't know if this will help, I wish you the best of luck.

Thank's ya'll for your responses. This 2ww is driving me insane.  My cramps definitely feel more AF like, as I get crazy cramp in my upper thigh right before she strikes, but then I'm also wondering if I'm imagining it all.  Half the time I think I'm just feeling things inmy mind b/c I'm so convinced its not going to work.   Sometimes I wish they would just sedate me for the 2ww and then wake me up with either the good or the bad news!

Tamsewn - good luck on Thursday.  I have my test on Friday (but I wonder if I'll still need to take it if its a full-flow AF).

Sunshinecyk - congrats on your pregnancy!  I can't even imagine how excited you must be.

I had IUI last month and I was on 300mg of prometrium and I did get my period...I asked if and why and they said that prometrium is not to stop the period but to help your progesterone levels incase you do get your period...

Good Luck and hopefully you are feeling what are implantation cramps...
