Please help, hcg up, no sac...spotting

Hi, I am going through my second IVF. My first didn't work (day 3 transfere). This IVF we did day 5 transfer 2 embryos good quality it was on 12/2. On 12/14 I got positive blood test with 165. On 12/17 started dark brown spotting, on 12/19 had dark brown spotting with tissue and clots. Run to my doctor did blood test which came with 1147. Today 12/21 had my first u/s, no sac nothing...my hcg 1900 (not exactly double). My doctor thought I have ectopic pregnancy and send me to have more accurate u/s in the hospital. They didn't see ectopic pregnancy just fibroid...My doctor want me to take injection metrhotrexate for ectopic pregnancy or to do D&C. He says that this is not normal pregnacy anyway. But they didn't see ectopic pregnancy, they didn't see if I had miscariage, they didn't see sac...I don't know what to do??? I asked to wait and to check my blood tomorrow and u/s, I want to see if my hcg goes up and if something on u/s. What to do? Should they see miscarriage on u/s? Should they see by now sac or it too early??? please help

Hope all goes well for you! I would advise not taking anything until you have your levels checked again AND get visual confirmation of what's going on via ultrasound! Taking the metrotrexate would terminate pregnancy and if the levels are still increasing, there's still a chance everything is fine even though you're spotting. Just wait. If sadly it's not a successful viable pregnancy, make that call to take anything AFTER the ultrasound! I truly wish you the very best- contact me if you have any other questions. It sounds exactly what I went thru with ectopic, hcg keep raising even not really double up to 7000.  However, I never want to terminate the pg because it took me couple years TTC with 5 failed IUIs and couple more failed IVFs.  I waited till 7 weeks and I know for sure we should see at least some thing by then.  I finally took the shot and 2 days later remove the left tube because of the rupture.  I never regette my decision.  Listen to your heart and I wish you the best.

P.S.Yours is only 5 weeks and hcg=1900 is still a bit early.  I also have a lot of fibriods.

Hi, Yesterday my hcg grow up more 3500 but still no sac. They send me to another u/s which suddenly confirmed ectopic, I saw the sac but honestly it looks like fibroids which I have on my left side (the ectopic on right). My doctor was sure that ectopic on left side. They all started to tell me to take a shut that it will be dangerous to wait more, my husband also said it better to do it now, he thinks it is ectopic. I took 2 shots. I can't describe my feeling, I have all my positive tests for memory, it is first time in my life I was pregnant. I have a question, how can be ectopic pregnancy in invitro, they put embryo in uterus, how it came to tubes? I have another question to girl who did a shots, did u feel sharp pain after? I can't stand this pain. Did your doctor recommend to u to remove febroids, I have them also. Thank you! And I wish to all of u healthy babies and healthy pregnancy!

I'm so sorry to hear this bad news.  The sac which you saw is called "pseudo sac".  I saw it too before I got the shot ( i dont see it when i was 6 weeks).  I have about 10 fibriods.  3 of them size from 4-6cm, the rest are about 1-3cm.  Many doctor suggested me to remove them but my current RE.  He said since I'm almost 40 yrs old, i'm running out of time to wait for the recover after the surgery.  The location is also concern.  Mine is not really tort into the uterus.  Since I have many, it may be damage my uterus or even end up to remove the uterus and this is a major sugery to open my belly, I may have to scare tissue and with scar tissue I many have more problem to get pg than fibriod.  There is PRO and CON for the sugery, in my case he said I should not do it.  With my first ectopic, it resolved itself just like nature MC and it cause me have the second ectopic, maybe some scar tissue left on the tube.  Both are on IVF, so after I remove the left tube I got pg again, my first beutifull son just turn 5 months today.  I don't mind to remove the tube because I need to do IVF to get pg anyway.  I have very serve male factor and fibriod with 5 failed IUIs, 2 failed on first and 4th on IVF, 2 ectopic on second and third, and sucess on the 5th one.  It's worthy at the end.  
P.S. they put the embryos to uterus, but for the first few days, the embryos don't implant yet and they could travel to the tubes and got stuck there instead of move out, but those embryos are good ones and implant in the tube.  The good news is you're able to get pg.

Hi, I am so happy that finally after this hard and long journey u got your baby! I am also so glad to find girls like u! U are so strong! This is giving to me a hope. I have very strong pain and bleeding after my shot. Going to see my doc. tomorrow and to check if my tube is ok. Enjoy your baby and good luck to u!!! U are very strong!
