Please help me figure this out!!

Ok so my progesterone was low and they put me on the suppository capsul thingies. Anyways it went from being 9.1 up to 16.5 in 7 days. I went to the dr. yesterday and that's when I found out it was 16.5. So they did a blood beta test and said it was negative. Keep in mind I was 10 dpo yesterday. He told me to stop the progesterone.  I was asking several questions on here and I could still test again in a couple of days and might get a positive. Well then I was reading about when AF will start after I stop taking progesterone and came across a sentence that scared me. It said .. .If you do fall pregnant, on no account must you stop the progesterone, as this could cause a miscarriage.  I don't know if I am or not because I might get a positive in a couple of days. Maybe!! But still if I stop this I'm screwing up right? Was he suppose to tell me this? Why didn't he say "stay on it for a couple of more days and we'll test again and if it's negative then you can stop it"??   I only missed last night so should I start again?   Can I get a positive if I'm taking progesterone?  I know I can't get AF but still was wondering about a positive. Please help ease my mind. Thank you so much !!

I started progesterone on first day of retrieval and stayed on prog through two week wait all the way until 9 weeks.  I'm confused though. You said he told you to stop. Then he said stay on a few more days and he'll re-test. Maybe I misunderstood. Obviously I would think your RE knows best; however, if you're planning for more bloodwork and may possibly be pregnant, it seems you'd still be taking the prog. Sorry I'm not very helpful.

Thank you. Yes he told me to stop taking it based on  my 10dpo blood test being negative. I was just curious that if I could still possibly be pregnant and just got an early negative should I still be taking it just in case I might possibly in a day or 2 get a positive?

What might have gotten you confused was I wrote ..."Why didn't he say " stay on the progesterone and we'll re-test in a couple of days".  

Thank you for trying to help though. I was thinking if I could still possibly maybe get a positive in a day or 2 it wouldn't be the best thing to stop the progesterone and I was just curious why he told me to go ahead and stop even though I was only 10dpo. I mean some people get a positive at 12 dpo or 15 dpo. Everyone is different.   Thanks again! :)
