Post-Coidal

I had a PC test, and my OB/GYN said that I was too acidic.  Is there anything I can do to change the PH level?  I have had 9 IUI cycles, and none of them worked.  My HSG was normal, but am still not PG.  Help!!!

I was told to take some Ibuprofen b/4 the HSG.  They said that it wouldn't hurt.  I won't lie.  It did, but only when they asked me to tilt sideways so they could see the dye.  But the pain didn't stay.  It was over as soon as the procedure was.  Good luck.

If hostile mucous is your problem, maybe the RE can help.   There is a procedure where the fertility doctor actually takes a sperm cell and injects it into an egg.  The egg is then fertilized.  Then they put the eggs in you....just like the IVF.

I guess also IVF, if your problem is hostile mucous.   I don't know about anything to lower the acidity.

I found this:

Douching with an alkalinic nontoxic solution such as sodium bicarbonate (1 tablespoon of baking soda into 1 quart of water) to increase the pH of the mucus 30 to 60 minutes prior to intercourse. This has been widely used with mixed success
