For the past 13 months, my husband and I have unsuccessfully tried to conceive. In these past 13 months, my cycle has usually been about 27-30 days in length. However, I have had cycles as short at 26 days and one that was 33 days. Would this be considered an irregular period? Would this swing in cycle length affect fertility; if so, are there any causes that could be affecting my cycle? I have used OPKs occasionally and typically do test positive for ovulating around 14-17 days. Any suggestions?
the thing that makes ttc hard when you have irregular cycles is knowing when you ovulate. i would definetely suggest charting your CM, if you aren't already. I also have very irregular cycles and i charted my CM for the first time this cycle and im soo excited because i was able to tell exactly when i ovulated! so far i OPKs havent worked for me. But since they do for you, i think it would be beneficial to chart CM as well. Best of luck!
