Pregnancy after 35 and after Novasure

I am 38 years old.  I have 4 children already and had a tubal ligation and novasure.  My tubal ligation was in 2007 and novasure was in 2009.  I have had nothing but problems with my period since my tubal (hence the ablation).I was bleeding irregularly and very heavy.  At one point I bled for almost 3 months very heavily, which is when my doctor and I decided to get my ablation.  I continually had problems with my cycle after my ablation.  I still got a period after two months of my ablation and with ultrasounds and blood tests I had done, it showed my estrogen levels were very high and my progesterone was low.  I tried different birth controls and progesterone pills to help level things out and normalize my periods.  I still bled in between cycles while on those things.  Now that I am in a relationship with someone and we would like to have children in a few years, I started to visit a fertility specialist to find out what my options are.  She tested some things and said that I have 9 follicles, and my lining was at a 0.5.  She was very surprised to see this after having the procedures that I have had done.  Recent tests showed my AMH is 0.3 and my FSH is 9.4.  I would like to have more children one day, what can I do to help this.  She recommended freezing some eggs.  I don't know if that is the route I want to take.  I would like to get a reversal and go natural.  What is your input?  Is there any luck with this. Can quitting smoking and taking DHEA help with my egg reserve?  Could my hormone levels being so out of balance affect this?  Help please!

I do know it depends on how the tubal ligation was preformed and if they removed a large portion of the Fallopian tubes. Tubes are normally around 10 cm and after my surgery to repair them I ended with tube lengths of 5.5cm. I have a friend with only 1 very short tube, lost the other to an ectopic, and she was able to conceive.

Thank you!  My fertility Dr as well as my regular OBGYN says I am basically a case that does not usually ever happen.  Hearing though how easily you got pregnant after a reversal is good news in itself!  I was told it is slim to none to ever happening. :)

I don't know about all of your procedures and how they would effect the out outcome of a pregnancy. But I can speak to a reversal. I had a tubal reversal at age 35, was able to get pregnant on my 2nd cycle of trying. I am now 38 and we are expecting out 2nd post tubal reversal baby in less than a month. I know many woman who have had babies after a reversal, and only a couple who could not.  It is best to speak with your fertility specialist as to the best method is for your unique situation.
