Pregnancy after Endometrial Ablation

I am looking for more info on pregnancy after an endometrial ablation.  I had an ablation in May 2002.  January 2003 I was not feeling well and went to the family doctor.  She thought it may be an ectopic pregnancy since I was told I was sterile.  I had an ultrasound to discover it was an interuterine pregnancy and I was about 9 weeks.  I am now 17 weeks and for the past month trying to decide to terminate or continue.  I am having a very hard time finding any info on any one with this happening to them and the risks to me or my unborn child.  I have seen several doctors and none of them have ever heard of this happening and 2 have suggested termination.  I have an appointment with a high risk specialist on Thursday (02/27/03).  Please tell me where I can find more info or who to contact.  Thanks.

Hi
I had an ablation done six weeks ago due to endometriosis, was told that the chances of conception were less than about 10%, thing is I bled afterwards and wasn't told that it can take a while to become infertile because of scarring, I had a coil fitted which when I had a scan showed it had fallen out but by this point I'd had unprotected sex with my husband,I had obviously ovulated because of the bleeding not a lot of bleeding but enough to know it was happening, nobody told me pregnancy was a possibility with what I had and I had no clue that I was almost three weeks pregnant when I went for a scan because I had low pelvic pain, I've got a boy and a girl so was happy with my lot, can't face terminating the pregnancy so I'm going ahead with it, my husband is scared but supportive after all isn't a baby meant to be a happy thing?
A nerve racking ride ahead, will keep you posted

Hello. I'm Shelly. I'm 42 and 5 weeks pregnant post ablation. When I had the EA done my husband had a vasectomy.  We have 2 boys, 22 & 18. Since then he passed away. Now with my new love, I never thought about bc. So here we are. This morning I started bleeding a little. Waiting to hear back from my Dr. I still have mixed emotions about this sitution.

Hi All!

I know I haven't posted in a while.  It has been such a roller coaster ride!  Our baby was born on 9/19/13 at 34 weeks.  She spent some time in the NICU and then came home.  She is now diagnosed with a tethered spinal cord and will need surgery.  We see the neurosugeon on Monday.

Good luck to all of you that are pregnant after an ablation, but if you are not pregnant I do not recommend it.  This was the most terryfing experience ever.  I love my baby and she is a wonderful blessing, but please consider your options!
