Pregnancy test

Is there a pregnancy test that is more accurate? How soon after an embryo transfer can a pregnancy test show?

I don't mean to be a downer, but I would totally discourage doing an HPT.  I did one early and it was positive, but then I just worried that it was picking up a chemical or ectopic.  Because I took the first hpt FOUR days before my beta, I worried nonstop for those four days, and then for the two days after the first beta.  I would have saved myself a lot of stress if I had just waited for the beta like I was supposed to.

What day transfer did you have?   This might help you know what is going on...  I printed this out on my last FET, and looked at it every day : )  I unfortunately got a bfn... but... it was nice to have.

What happens after a 3 Day and a 5 Day Transfer!
3-DAY TRANSFER:

1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT

5-DAY TRANSFER:

-1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst

i got a light positive on the first response early response at 5 days after a 5 day transfer. good luck!

It is a 3 day transfer. Thanks! that helps alot, it's only been 4 days since transfer but this 2ww is going to drive me crazy!

I didn't get a positive until 11 days past a 3 day transfer (day before my blood test).  I kept getting negatives from day 7-11.  Good luck!  Hope you get a positive.  Try not to make yourself too crazy!

Yes, I was just so anxious this morning, I thought it would help. Guess what, I was wrong. If I could sleep through this week, it would help. September 3 seems like a lifetime away.

i got my first BFP at home 7dp3dt and watched the line get darker every morning until my beta.  Personally i found it MUCH LESS stressful to know than to not know.
so everyone is different on this one.
do what feels right to you.

I'm going to tell you something from my experience. HPT are evil!!! You just never know if you are pregnant or not.... you need to wait until your blood work to know for sure and the results to be accurate. I have driven myself crazy because of HPT, both positive results and negative results. It is JUST NOT WORTHIT!!! and besides, everything changes so fast in terms of numbers and there is ALWAYS a reason to be anxious about it!!! Am I pregnant, are my numbers doubling, do I have a yolk sack,  does the baby has a heartbeat? ..... it goes ON AND ON!!!! We really go through A LOT but keep the faith, relax and if it is meant to be IT WILL:)

The extra stress is not good for you and your hubby and at the end it will work if it is meant to be. You have done everything in your power,,,, now... it is time to relax, go for little walks, pray and eat healthy. Last time I got pregnant naturally after 4 failed IVF , I was running everyday not knowing I was pregnant and the baby STILL implanted! go figure... but then he died at almost 7 weeks because of chromosomal problems.... you just never know. Sometimes we stop everything.... thinking if I do this it will be bad for the baby, OMG!!! maybe my baby died because one day I ate deli?, OMG maybe it was because I did acupuncture in the wrong points... it goes on and on.....etc.... but woman in Africa don't stop.... they don't even know they are pregnant and everything works out.. why??????? because it was meant to BE!!!! I think we have way too much technology and stress already and blame ourselves too much. It's sad :(
