Pregnant or Not Pregnant? that is the question.

Okay so I wasn't very good about taking my birth control last month and the last week of jan, I started taking it again bc of my PCOS well I had a period for 3 days in jan and I was suppose to start yesterday (2/14/13) and I haven't yet. Usually I'm either early or right on time...I've been extremely tired, nauseated, crazy mood swings, very irratible, hate the smell of popcorn and caramel now, strangely even more attracted to my fiance, light headed at times and last weekend I had horrible pains in my pelvic area that made me double over and on top of all that my chest has been a lot fuller and very tender! Also its a little uncomfortable laying on my tummy...Downfall... I took a test today and it came out negative :/ a little disappointed but at the same time strangely optimistic, unlike before when I took them back when we were trying and I would get really depressed :/ but idk why I feel so different this time. Could my PCOS maybe mimic pregnancy symptoms? Idk I'm so confused... I also feel maybe I should wait a little longer and test again if I still haven't started.. any suggestions?

I would wait until you 4-5days last and retest or get a blood test

You should wait a few more days and test again. If it's still negative and you haven't started your cycle, follow-up with your doctor for a blood test. Some women can be pregnant, but have a negative urine test.
PCOS causes irregular cycles to begin with and not taking birth control consistantly can also cause irregularity of your cycles. Hormone fluctuations can cause some of the symptoms you are experiencing, but they can also be consistant with pregnancy.

well i retested again this morning and still a negative.. so dr visit here i come!

the only way my period has ever been irregular is either by showing up super early or 2 days late at the most. im going to schedule a dr visit. i tested again this morning and i still got a negative.
