Problem conceiving after clomid challenge test in 09

Has anyone else had a conception problem after taking clomid? My husband and I have had 5 miscarriages in less than 2 years. This started when I was 33 years old. My period cycle had been steady with a 33 day cycle, 5 day period and a 14 day luteal phase. The two pregnancies tested out of the 5 were chromosomal. Three of the pregnancies had heartbeats. My husband and I both have normal chromosomal results. I would get pregnant on the first time for 4 of the 5 times and the 5 time took three months. I went to a RE and he had me take a clomid challenge test in July 09. My results were 3 day 4.5 and 10 day 5.4. Every month since the test my period cycle length has been all over the place from 28 days to 40 with every month different. My period also has shortened to about 3-4 days and the flow is lighter than normal. We have not been able to conceive again and it is now 9 months later. Is this reaction to clomid normal? I am very confused and scared. The doctor is stating that the clomid would do nothing to me. The first thing he mentioned to me when I went back in January about this problem is to put me back on clomid. No Thanks!
