I have been 13 months ttc and I just had a progesterone test 7 dpo and it came back at .8 Now i'm not sure how high its supposed to be at that point but i'm pretty sure i'm very low. So how long does it take to get back up to where its supposed to be. Does the Dr just give me prog. pills? Any ideas or thoughts welcome!
Thank you!
A progesterone of 0.8 actually means you didn't ovulate...so a progesterone supplement wouldn't really help, because the egg never released. What your doctor will probably do instead is start you on a medication that will help induce ovulation. Once you do ovulate, your progesterone levels will rise automatically. A level of 10 or higher at 7 dpo is ideal.
If for some reason your progesterone is still low after ovulation, you'll probably get a progesterone supplement...but chances are, the levels will rise into the normal range once you ovulate.
