Provera, Clomid and Metformin Question for TTC

Hi All! So I have PCOS, I've always had it, never had regular periods. I get my period maybe a few times a year. So my doctor just put me on provera 50mg for 5 days, and then clomid 50mg for 5 days, and metformin 500mg for the whole month.
My question is that my doctor told me I was to take the clomid on the 6th day, after finished the provera, even though I did not get my period yet, he said there were reasons for this ( I forgot exactly what he said ). Which brings me to my question, I am starting clomid tomorrow, since I just finished the provera today, will it be possible for me to get my period either while on clomid or right after finishing it from the provera? If I do, what does this mean?
Any advise/experience would be really appreciated! Also if you had success with this combo I'd love to hear from you also!

Thanks so much!

I agree with Jroxy!  Although when you are done taking the provera it can be anywhere from 3-10 day before you start your period.

This month for me it was only 3 days after I was done taking provera 10mg(7 days)
Last month it came 8 days after.

Clomid is usually taken on CD 5-9 sometimes CD2-6

Cycle Day 1 is the first day you bleed (not spot)

This is not the first time I have heard someone talk about taking clomid without a period and I have no idea why the doctors would say that.

I think you should call up your doctor and clarify the situation and ask again when he wants you to take the clomid.  Maybe he meant cycle day 6!

I thought once you start on Metformin you are supposed to stay on it, not just take it for a month!  But i have just started taking metformin this month so I am not 2 sure.

I take provera 10mg for 7 days, clomid on CD 5-9 and Metformin 500mg everyday(will be 1000mg soon)

My dr had me take provera for 10 days and than about 2-3 days after stoping it I would start my period. And on cd 3-5 I would take my clomid. So I would say its about six days after taking provera. which is about the same thing your dr said. I think its about the same thing either way you say think of it in the end. Dr start there patients on all different days of the cycle. So I wouldnt worry to much about it. It sounds like its the right time to start. I hope that makes since. So why are you starting your clomid on the day after your provera ends if your dr told you to take it on the 6 day after ending provera? im confused. It sounds to early to take it the day after. You should expect your period 2-3 days after you stop provera. But if your dr wants you to start clomid before than its ok that you start your period while on it. I dont think theres a big difference. I think it will just help bring you a new cycle faster. And help you ovulate sooner in your cycle. I wish I had a sucess story with clomid but it did not make me ovulate. :( I have moved on to IVF  Good luck with everything
