Provera

I'm on my third day of Provera and I think it's really affecting my mood.  Either that or it's just the waiting that's making me moody.  Does anyone know if this is common with Provera?  I am normally a pleasant and patient person at work, but today I have been close to biting people's heads off (and for things that don't normally bother me that much).  I hope that this is a sign that it's getting into my system and doing it's job.  I really don't want to have to go on bcp for a month.

Yesterday was my first day off of Provera and I cried at every commercial, song and YouTube video my husband showed me.  The day before that I almost had a meltdown, because I couldn't decide what to make for dinner.  My poor husband....

I am taking Provera.  1st time for me too.  I started taking it Sunday night 4/15 and suppose to take it for 7 days, then wait for my cycle to start.  After my cycle starts then begin Clomid on Day 3-5 of CD, then on the 5 day after the last Clomid pill we are suppose to BD every other day until past ovulation.  The problem I have is that I don't know when I ovulate.  I don't do OPK or BBT, I really hate to say I don't have the time or forget when to do those test and it ends up being to late.

I am taking 10 mg of Provera and 50 mg of Clomid when ever my cycle does begin which I pray will happen next week.

I am bit scared of what to expect, but the Provera I think has made me very Moody.  I warned my DH about this before taking them so he is such a dear heart and understands.

Any one else taking Provera and Clomid now? 1st?  Any sucess stories?

Thanks KGH

When I took provera for the first time- I had terrible problems on the first day of my periods- like sweating, constant bowel movement, feeling like passing out, dizzy, low BP, body became weak, and terrible pain and toomuch of blood flow...all these happened for the first time in my life....I had to use the emergency room:( If you get into this situation the doctors suggest you to take advil or brupfen before you know the sign of the pain and take rest, even a heating pad will be helpful in these times.....

I was misdiagnosed with pcos and treated for it for 2 years.  TTC for 5 years.  I had taken provera beofre, but it was always with metformin and clomid also.  I've never taken it by itself before, so maybe I had so many side effects going on that I didn't notice as much.  I'm not sure what it is this time, but the irritability is definately noticeable this time.  DH better look out!   :)

oh yes i've been on provera almost every month now. Imagine having pcos taking Metformine, Provera and clomid. I get angry for anything and i'll cry alot too. These pills drive me crazy especially the Provera because it makes u very moody, but i guess these are the conswquences we have to deal with in order to get pregnant. I've been trying for about 1 year and a half.
I guess we just have to make the best of it. Good luck to u.
