Hello All! I am a newbie on the forum. I am 28 and DH is 27. We have 1 DD who is 4 and we have been trying for # 2 for 2.5 years now. I am have been working with an RE going on about 8 months now. This is my first cycle with injectables. I have stage IV endometrious and have been diagnosed with polycystic
ovaries. I am on CD 24 and I had an HCG injection on the CD 13. My question is...will the HCG reading from the injection completly diminish before you get a true BFP? The reason I ask is because on Tuesday I took a test (I know I wasn't suppose to) but it showed BFP. Well this morning CD24 I took another test and it was a BFN. I am not suppose to test until Monday per the RE. I was just wondering if I was in fact pregnant would I receive a BFN because of the HCG injection. I assumed that you would not get a BFN if you had an HCG injection and then conceived because the HCG would not have the opportunity to deminish before conception.
if you took the HCG trigger shot and got a BFP then took another and got a BFN it was probably stillt he trigger shot in your system, It looks as though you are 11DPO? It may still be to early to get a BFP, but if you do at this point, then you know its for real good luck and sticky baby dust to you
I am sure the first test was way to soon after the trigger shot. But I question...if the test was negative like today...could there still be a possiblity that I could be pregnant? I assumed that if you take the trigger shot and you did in fact conceive you wouldn't receive a negative at all because you would already have the HCG from the trigger shot in your system and then if you conceived the numbers would start rising from that particular point. Is my thinking wrong?
with my ob/gyn, and had an ovidrel shot 2 days before that. I was having really bad cramps, called the doc, he told me if it didn't go away by the following day, I needed to see him. For some reason I decided to take a HPT, and it was positive. I freaked out! My husband then called my ob/gyn b/c he is a close friend, and he warned us that we shouldn't get too excited, b/c it was honestly probably just the shot, that hadn't worked itself out yet. Unfortunately, he was right - the next morning I got a BFN...devastating!
yes I would think there is still a chance. for example, if implantation happened yesterday, it may still be to soon to get a BFP due to not enough HCG, just keep your spirits up.
