Question for anyone who has taken Parlodel...

Hi. Im new here. I am 30 years old and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 2 years and 3 months. I did a 6 month trial of clomid, which ended this February with no success. My doctor has mentioned trying me on Parlodel. I do not know alot about this drug and would appreciate any info... Is it like Clomid? Do you take it certian days of your cycle or do you take it the entire cycle? Does it have horrible side effects?
I have talked to my Dr about some of this but I would prefer some advice from another woman who has been through it.

I am on my 5th cycle of clomid and though I ovulated after the first month (once I got on 100mg) I have yet to get pregnant. My doctor decided to put me on parlodel as well as clomid. So I trying both together. I've been on parlodel for only a week and it has caused some side effects. I was extremely tired the first few days and experienced quite a bit of nausea, both of which have faded a bit and not nearly as bothersome. I will be on parlodel all month long, twice a day. My doctor has me taking half a pill vaganally morning and night. And I'm guessing I'll be on it until they decided to try something else. Just a note...it is about 3 times the cost of clomid. Hopefully some of this helped. Good luck!

I TOO HAVE A QUESTION FOR WHOMEVER CAN ANSWER. MY SPOUSE AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCIEVE (conceive) FOR ALMOST A YEAR WITH NO LUCK SO MY DOC PUT ME PROVERA AND CLOMID BECAUSE MY CYCLES WERE BETWEEN 36-40 DAYS. HOWEVER, I JUST FOUND OUT THAT MY PROLCATIN LEVEL IS 82. MRI WAS NEGATIVE AND NOW I AM TAKING PARODEL ONCE A DAY. MY DOC SAYS THAT I CAN START MY FIRST ROUND OF CLOMID BUT I AM WONDERING IF IT WOULD EVEN HAVE ANY EFFECT SEEING AS MY LEVELS ARE SO HIGH. SHOULD I WAIT FOR MY LEVELS TO COME DOWN???
