Question for those that have had IUI

I am currently 8 days past my IUI. this morning i had bad pain (really bad - could hardly breathe for a while) in what felt like my uterus.  Then rest of the day, i'm feeling VERY bloated and very tender in my lower stomach. I also am feeling like i'm having AF type cramping now. Has anyone had similiar symptoms and have been pregnant? I've had some sharp pains in my stomach area from about 6 dp IUI as well. I hate feeling so down as i had such high hopes for this IUI. i was thinking so positively and did everything right this month. My beta isnt until April 19 and AF shouldn't come for another week... I'm losing faith.... sigh.

Hi, just wanted to stop by and wish you luck! I did IUI in march but it didnt work for me..idk why everytime I had done a medicated cycle I never got preggo but trying naturally I have..and everytime I was preggo I had cramping, it was different everytime, i had it at 5dpo, 11dpo and 13dpo...
It sounds like good symptoms for you! Try to stay positive! I know its hard!

I"m so sorry you are feeling so low..please don't lose the faith..I am actually 7 days past my IUI..I have been having AF symptoms ever since the IUI..they tell me it's normal..how the heck can that be normal..but you know I'm not the professionalI am feeling the same exact symptoms you are ...unfortunately this is my first cycle on IUI so I have no comparisons..so I know nothing about this BETA you are talking about..BUT my AF should not arrive until the 19th...
Try to stay positive...I will pray for you!!...I'm wishing you a positive!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. This is my 2nd IUI and with my first i had cramping starting at 4 dpo (which i usually get even when we're trying naturally). This time, i had no cramping until this morning and then on and off all day. I do not remember feeling cramping at all with my son but i have been told by others that were pregnant that they had lots of af type cramping. I just don't know what to think.

caribbean_love - Beta is the blood test they give you after IUI to see if you're pregnant. They usually do it between 12 and 14 days past IUI. i am due for my period on either tues or wednesday of next week. i wish i could test NOW!

With my second IUI, which was successful, I felt like af was coming around 10po.  I tested with a frer 10 days out and it was + but very light +.

I know how hard this is...I hope this time works for you.

Hi...we've chatted about this a bit already, but I don't want you to give up!  I got my BFP this month after my IUI#2...I had strong cramping/pulling/pains days 7-9 after the IUI...I thought I was out for sure.  But the strong pains went away, and the cramping didn't feel like AF cramps (but every woman is different) but they continued...I also felt bloated or "full" down there...got my BFP 12dpIUI... good luck! Hang in there.
