Question regarding FEMARA

Ok so today is CD3 and i started taking femara 2.5mg x2 daily  today and will continue it until CD7. they sad i should start testing for ovulation starting day 10. and they told me to BD on day 10,12,14,16,18. or when i get my positive opk that day and every other day for a week. This is all new any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi! I just used Femara on the first cycle and got pregnant my first round!Though my RE told me to BD around 4 days before ovulation and on ovulation day. We did about every nught before , during and once after and here I am at 6 weeks!I read somewhere that many women don't know that BD before ovulation increases your chances of getting pregnant also because the sperm can stay inside the woman's body for 4 to 5 days!Good luck and loads of Baby Dust******!

Ive taken Femara (2.5 mg twice a day) as my insurance actually covers it. But I have yet to conceive on it. Ive had great luck with injectables though. I think I am going to give Chlomid a try as my gyn wrote it for me. Im sure I'll be crampy and Ive heard there are more side effects with Chlomid but i will try it once cycle and see how it goes. I am also looking into IVF and trying to get funds together for it. Grrr I hate this!

good luck to you this cycle.

I really liked femara and it's been much more effective for me than clomid (and without the side effects).

I took 5 mg (2 tablets) starting day 2, for 5 days.

I got a very faint BFP yesterday at DPO10.  Am really hoping this will be a happy and sticky baby.

Ok thanks for the info this, Femara is new to me. How many mg are you on? The BDing will begin on the CD8....Hopefully this time you will get your BFP. Good Luck and Keep me informed.

You may ovulate early on femara.  I would recommend you start ovulation testing on Day 10.  I ovulated (with trigger) on Day 10 this cycle.  Looks like I could be pg.

I'd also BD on day 8, 10, 12 etc.  Don't forget to enjoy hubby!
