Thanks girls! thats what i was afraid of! they won't confinscate the pen at the airport will they? man what do diabetics do?? i guess i have to check the needles, i didn't even think about the ice not being allowed! ugh what a pain! we are suposed to go camping too!! so just will have to figure out a way to make it work i guess! i don't want to miss a cycle!!! thank you!
It needs to be refrigerated - but - you can't take an icepack on the plane - you will have to buy dry ice (wal-mart sells it).
My RE and nurse stated that it has to be kept cold. I also travelled with follistim, and this is what I did.
Get yourself one of those insulated lunch box/bag coolers - you can get them at Walmart and such. Get an ice pack too. I found that the ice pack and bag kept the stuff cold for up to 15 hours.
If you are heading to a hotel, let them know that you have medication that needs refrigeration. If they ask, tell them its insulin (they don't need to know...) and most places will provide you a mini fridge free of cost.

I refrigerated mine. I was scared that it would go back in the summer heat, ven though we A/C the house, when we leave I turn the air down.
